When are you going to be in our area?

Back on Topic,

Today, I didn't technically do anything to the Sky
I did, however, setup an appointment for tomorrow to have some new meats installed.

If you install those right over the heat shield, they'll cook themselves for you!!

DeepWater,
when you coming my way?  Are you going to Bob Stall?  Are you sure it's the turbo itself?  Did you try pouring your expensive wine into it?

GJ

The turbo repair lasted about an hour, and cost nada.  :yay: Apparently when the two rocket scientists, who installed the Dejon IC, they didn't get it right.  :gaah: Anyway, I drove back from Ventura like a bat outta hell.  :drive: What a difference 150 hp (or so) makes. I mean, with no turbo we got ourselves a 2.0 liter four banger with maybe about 150 hp, downhill with a tailwind. However, with the turbo we got a frigg'n rocket under out butts. I made it from Bajamar to the Ensenada toll booth in eight minutes yesterday.

GJ, In fact, I did have to pour some of the wine. Of course it never made it past my glass. FYI: I did bring back only the legal six liters of wine back with me, and of course the Mexican customs dudes didn't even glance at me.  :usa: I would have brought more, but that was all I could fit in the Ghost.

Finally my revamped TCM arrived!  It is so much better it's crazy.  It still isn't quite perfect, but it is so much better!  The down shifts are harder, and the cruising at freeway speed "oops, time to pass granny" now works the way it should.  This is just first feel after a quick drive, but it's better.  Broke the tires loose from about 15 mph for the first time.  The tranny used to take so long to shift and apply power that I would just accelerate.  Now, it hits hard when I hammer it.  Another nice to have- When driving in Intermediate the shift points are bumped up 250 RPM.  Fun in competitive mode.  Car is finally starting to feel right.  Muchas Gracias Senoir Wester!

Right on GJ!  I know what a difference a properly shifting standard tranny feels like after using the Predator on the wife's C.  Now for that Radar Detector mod eh?

Happy B-Day
You are still young.  My dad is a decade older than you and still in great shape.
So for better or worse, your going to be with us for a good while longer

Had my Dunlops installed yesterday and an alignment done.
Car was seriously out of whack with the alignment.
Handles significantly better now.

Today I played hookie from work along with Chuck and Joe.  Chuck and I went to Joe's, and Joe wired my halo lights, We replaced the front sway bar, did the trunk mod on my car and Chucks.   Worked on Chuck's drivers door hinge.

Oh yeah replaced the contact switch under my hood with a mercary one.

Dickie W,
You are so right.  I drove the car again today and it is so much better it's crazy!  Finally feels like I am getting the most out of the car and tune.  Looking forward to Porterfields and a backbone to really sure things up.

Congratulations to you on reaching another birthday.  I'm right behind you (somewhere...)

Keep on truckin, see you soon.  I have asked Heather Locklear to head over to your house for a little fun for your birthday.  What you do when she gets there is up to you and should be posted in the "other" section of this forum.

Have fun.

That is one of the funniest and best links I think I've ever seen on a forum!!  Helpful and Snarky at the same time, I love it!

Sleeves that wrap around the front and tie in the back sane??

What are these Trunk springs you are talking about?
Are they just new ones to replace the original ones
or do they have more tension to really make it jump open?

I have bolt cutters installed on my teeth, so the fence can't stop me... neither can some silly canvas jump suit.
