Are you talking about your Kappa or your "bread"

SA,
How dare you ask about his bread!  If Treeman is a whole grain, white, wheat, or even English Muffin guy, I'm not sure that's any of your buisiness!

If he's been butter'n his own bread why did he spend time cleaning his wife's car?  Why would he be installing spit guards, and I am afraid to ask but whats with the tar?

i put eyelids (adhesive vinyl - 40euros) and tinted -most black option, yeah it s kind of illegal- the windows (left and right) 50 euros.
i also owe some photos of the OEM rear wing i placed (windows were not tinted the time i took the photos)

and this is an image of how i would love to paint my car (or use adhesive vinyl to get there)... i know a lot of people won't like this, but i think it's pretty mean and maybe i try this very soon!!

My used 07 Sky with Hahn Turbo had toasted bearings at 14K miles. I figured it was run hard but the tires didn't show it and the clutch was fine. Just the tell-tale sign of smoke at start up and oil in the intake.

I've always had the sound of compressor surging or a fluttering. Find that the BOV is cranked down pretty tight which would not always let out when the throttle body closed. Which might explain why the bearings were stressed and letting oil by.

Also now has all silicone hoses as when I wrapped the manifold and down pipe it transferred heat onto the intake pipe and was melting the rubber hoses.

Got my ride out of the shop yesterday and when I went to pick it up, the manager said they noticed one night while putting the car away that the car with a blue glow underneath and couldn't figure out how to turn them off so they pulled the plug to it.

Hmm, the box is hidden behind the brake booster so to know where it was to unplug it meant they spotted the light kit while it was on the lift, followed the wires an played with the buttons on it.  You can't turn it on without touching something.

I told the manager it was no big deal, they had to have pressed the buttons and couldn't figure out how to turn it off.  When I started the car, the CEL came on.  I used the dashhawk to identify the codes.
It popped the cooling fan circuit.

Now I know from when my son tried to use his car to jump someone elses that he used both metal posts on the fuse panel thinking one was ground and the other positive.  No so, he blew the fan circuit fuse and popped a CEL.

So know I suspected that in their messing with the lights and killed my battery and they had to jump the car to get it started.  You'd think they would know how to jump a car.   But with the CEL, I knew they did the same thing my sone did.  Checked the 60A fuse and it was blown.

I hadn't left the shop yet, called the manager and told him he needed to find me a 60A fuse so I don't over heat on the way home and asked if they had jumped the car.  He said he didn't know.  I told him what had happened.   Fuse replaced and I'm out of there.

Drove home with the top down and today I drove to work with the top down.  a bit chilly, high 50s but none the less, it was great to have my wheels back.

Bought some more Poor Boys detailing stuff today from eshine.ca. Drove to Port Colborne to pick it all up. It's only about a 20 minute drive from my house but what a day. It's 28 degrees Celsius today without a cloud in the sky. You couldn't ask for a better top down day than that!
Just trying to do my part...

I spent just over $200 today on the PBW site myself.  I also spent about $165 buying buffer pads on AutoGeeks site.

It's all getting shipped to Joe's.  At least I don't have to worry about Critter using any of it, although Joe, Joey and Chuck I'm not so sure about!   :poke:

Critter, if you protect it, I might use some on your car along with the 60 grit..... :D

When you due out here?

It won't be til January.  I won't have any of my stuff out here, but if you're willing to buy a few detailing products, I'll show you how to use them.

As far as golf goes, I do best at the 19th hole.  What can I say, I'm a drinker, not a golfer!

Worked on my BlackCatCustom gauge faces.  Did the:

1) 2kwk4u's "anti-glare using rubylith" DIC window mod. [Cut out the DIC window and stick rubylith film behind, matte face out.]
2) 2kwk4u's "dim the gas-gauge LEDs with a resistor to match the other gauges" mod. I think Scott used a 220ohm resistor for his blue LEDs, but I found I needed to up it to a 330 ohm for my white LEDs.
3) TomatoSoup's "diffuse the idiot lights" mod.  I found that the idiot light leds (especially the turn signals) show as a point source through the BlackCat faces, meaning that the LEDs don't illuminate the icons well.  I got a piece of copier transparency film from work and sprayed it with clear satin paint to make it frosted.  Then just cut little strips and bent them into "U"-shapes and stuck them in the LED wells behind the face.  Diffuses the light nicely and I can actually tell the left turn signal from the right (no jokes please BG).

By the way Scott, I'd thought my previous mod using anti-glare film on top of the DIC window was bubbling up (hence the transition to your rubylith mod).  Turns out the bubbles were in the red filter that BlackCat used on the back of the faces.  It's just a piece of red sticky tape, and had bubbled - from the heat of the display I guess.  Anyway, fixed now and thank you very muchly for the film!

Critter? Done yours yet?
