How were those racing seats on the long trip?

They are great. The stock seats used to cause me to have lots of lower back pain. No problems with the Kirkeys. I love them and prefer them apart from the occasional hard bump.

I know what I'd like to be doing to my Kappa today....installing the new rear diffuser that Norm told me he was going to ship last Thursday...for the third time.  :gaah:  Someone else is enjoying my first diffuser - hope the color matches.   It's been over 2 1/2 months now, Guess I got put off for more important things.

Anyone know if Norm made it home from Canton OK? I've tried to call but get no answer & the voicemail/answer machine says it's full.

What's up with kappa vendors being so slow. I hope it's because they are all so busy selling stuff, but I'm worried they might be busy trying to find second jobs if business isn't going well for them.

I'm in the same boat.  I was hoping to get mine at Nationals.  No Such Love.

Long waits are the price we pay for quality products sometimes.
I'm ok with that

Changed out my wheel studs.

Word to the wise...don't have your car's ignition on while doing this.  When you unplug the TCM, the system will freak out.  I had to take it to a dealership to have them reset the TCM and ABS system.

I looked at the empty spot in the garage where my car usually sits, does that count?

I whined on the forum.

I made my own temporary turbo cover.

Screwed around with my pedals some more, gunna post about that soon.

Failed state inspection because of my cat-less downpipe, gunna post more about that as well.

Cleaned the MAF sensor

Started the Chevelle, which it actually was able to do on its own power.

zilch. I did glare at it as I walked by on the way to the garage, mumbled a few choice words about possibly having to buy a new CAT next week.

I drove the kappa today because I had to do a bunch of work on the jeep.
The other day I replaced the broken axle shaft with the warranty one.
As a result of not having an axle in it I lost a lot of fluid so I drained the remaining oil out of the front diff
had to remove the knuckle to knuckle custom tie rod so I could take off the old diff cover and installed a new one that has a higher fill plug and better clearance.
I'm going to let the RTV set over night and fill it tomorrow.
Then adjust the drag link to re-center the steering wheel

As soon as that's all done, I can offroad again and break something else
:)

I took her for a run with the Viper and Lotus crowd.  Yesterday I installed the third brake light pulsing module on both the vert and the coupe and finished installing the 6 bulb strobe light kit.

Do you have a link for that strobe light kit?

I have been ignoring fast Betty for over a week now.  I built a raised vegetable garden and got the planted, installed an irrigation system in the back yard, and a few other yard "to do's"  I was feeling guilty for not paying any attention to the car, and tonight at 9 pm I couldn't take it any more and went out to the garage and washed and waxed the car.  She looks pretty good from what I can tell in the garage.  Guess I will find out in the morning how I did.  Then I came in and realized the car was cleaner than the kitchen, so I went to town on the stove, microwave, counters, floor, sink, cabinets... the whole thing.

If you were wondering, no I did not use the same cleaners or towels for the car and the kitchen.  I did go thru 3 magic erasers in the kitchen.  Those things rock!

Now, I can sit back, relax and watch the US Open all afternoon.

Used "Great-Stuff" expanding foam injected into a bag to fill-in the gap and support under the center console cover (arm-rest).

Went for a drive and hit a constant 24 lbs boost (woo hoo!) most I've ever seen!  I only have the GMPP tune and before this, only seen a quick peak of 20.

So as not to be accused of hijacking the thread.  I washed and waxed the car yesterday, and plan to clean the house today.  Where is that irony emoticon?

Hi, WanderingSol here.  I took off the horse shoe shaped trim under my steering wheel.  The left top was sticking out
about 3/8" and would not stay in.  I heated that side for about five minutes with a hair dryer keeping a constant
tension on the tip to bend it in shape while heating it and until it cooled.  I put it back in and it now has a perfect fit.
Checked it a day later and it still is fitting perfect.

Nice to look down and not see a large gap between the trim pieces!
Tim.

Was it hotter than normal? Usually the boost will go higher to make up for the less dense air.

Wasn't particularly hot (maybe in the 70's) but I'm guessing that was a big factor, plus I was hammering it in 4th gear... Still nice to see that the GMPP tune was actually there!  (I was worrying that something was wrong before.)
