One thing of note.

DDM's white, is not Kappa Polar/Pure white.  It is a perfect match for the Mini Cooper color called Pepper White [My wife owns a 2009 Pepper White Mini Cooper S] which is not as bright.  More of a cream color.

I had the coil cover repainted to match the rest of my car.

Thanks for the information, this is a definite good to know thing, with future mods in mind.

Still looking for a way to potentially clean the radiator top on a 2.4L stock, that is 2 inches off the ground... Hmmm. Guess I need to invest in some Rhino Ramps and a jack stand kit.

Ploughing into the BCM yesterday, attaching wires in prep for my interior motion alarm project, while parts arrive.  Connected into the door lock lines in C3.  Then went to C1 to open it up to attach to the passenger door-ajar line (for the alarm trip).  Opened up the connector and saw a couple of wires I must've attached earlier, thinking "oh, there are wires I attached earlier, I wonder what for?"  Then I went back to my wiring diagram to see which pin I needed to attach to, and found "oh, that's where one of the wires I already attached is!  Huh?".  Then I remembered, I already wired into the door-ajar switches for my lighted sills and under-door puddle lights.  "Doh!"

Age is a terrible thing.  :banghead:

Cleaned up GXPsy today. She was at the dealership end of last week getting a new ABS pump/controller installed. I also spent some time today diagnosing a dead threshold - voltage and continuity appear to be ok, but no illumination from the driver side unit.

Now it's time to get ready for the trick or treaters. I think I'll dress extra scary for them - I'll be a Miata.

Raced Streak for the last time ....................................................................... this year.

Next year? Kirkey seat, Fidanza flywheel and Spec clutch. I wish I could budget a set of AST DA's, but I have to hold back for a couple sets of A6's. (Can you say "cha ching?")

Did the "full" detailing on Sunday in preparation for the winter to come. I expect to have to drive in snow at least once this year. Plannning on lifting the car to clean out the leaves from the radiator this coming weekend.

After a long delay, I finally installed heated seat in the Solstice.  It's getting chilly here in San Diego and the misses deserves warm buns.  I really liked 2kwk4u's install location, it seemed to be the most natural spot.  But, I didn't think I was going to want to go to that extream of custom fabrication.  At the end of it all, I wasn't going to be happy with the switches in any other location.  I took my time and the work great!  I had them on today even though it was 81 degrees, just because I had to try them out!

Here you go:  The first pic is an in progress shot.  What can I say, animal crackers and a good beer make any project go smoother.

And here is the finished install location for the switches:

Not as hard as it seems like it might be.  The hardest part of it all is extending the wiring and then taking a drill to your dash board.  Not that it's hard to drill, but it is emotionally difficult!

Washed her all up and headed down to Yorktown, Williamsburg, and Jamestown. We hung aroung CW (Colonial Williamsburg), ate at the Williamsburg Winery, went and did the Island Drive in Jamestown, and had dinner at Captain George's. Photoshoot in CW on Sunday, followed by breakfast at Cracker Barrel.

THE COLONIAL CAPITOL - Williamsburg was the capital before Richmond.

a friend showed me a creepy video today from a kappa...
he was following one and got a camera in his car, so he started filming it while it was on the road.
about 20 seconds of a video watching the rear end of a beautiful kappa. and then, all the sudden... lots and lots of white smoke from the exhaust and the kappa stopped at the side of the road.
later on, my friend heard from a trustworthy source that it was a melted piston..

brrrrrr.....

(it's not smthg i did to my kappa today, but i didnt think it deserves a topic itself, since i dont have the video to post it)
