My first post and can you believe it I'm glad I didn't drive the Solstice today. Driving I26 Chas, SC had a Nissan attempt a high speed pit maneuver.  My Tahoe won and I can still make a call to DDM to plan a trip next week.  On with the braces full throttle ahead.

Welcome and congratulations on not wrecking your Sol :)

I swear, anytime I see a driver doing something totally moronic, they're in a Nissan. Usually a decade old Sentra.

In addition to a good washing, I decided to see if I could figure out how to make my WR fir in the tight gap of the trunk lid.

I took another look at it and I realized that I needed a larger gap. The trunk lid was just too close to the (Tulip?).

Anyhow, I adjusted the trunk lid towards the rear about 1/8" and everything worked fine.

Here are a few photos of the WR, and the gaps at the rear.

Here is where I adjusted the trunk. I marked it carefully in case I had to make it back to original.

Oh, and a shot of a very clean Sky!

They actually tacked their own plate on the front? Not a state plate, go make them fix it. :gaah:

Actually I am waiting on my new plates. In the mean time the dealer plate is on the front so cops realize I am on temp plates. I could legally remove it, but I might get pulled over for no front plate before the cop realizes I am on temp plates, then would probably get a ticket for the real infraction that I am always guilty of, speeding!

Anyhow, the dealer ads come off as soon as I can mount my regular plates that are waiting in my trunk.

Be warned if you put a front plate on that car you will forever be harassed to remove it. Law or no law ;) It is a big No No in the kappa world.

Helped install a LV Brace on a fellow member's car and then watched his "surprise" face with his new GXP... Well worth the time.

i am doing it right now
i am at the most well known custom IC shop in Greece having a big custom made IC with pipes, made for my GT.
i always wanted the DDM IC, but any IC from the US with shipping and installation cost here, would well exceed my budget..
i got a fair price from the guy here and decided to go for it.
hoping the product will be better than the image i now have for this particular shop...

Love the Firestone Winterforce snow tires on 2" of packed rutted tracks. As even 4wd and AWD not up to carry the speed limit.  :)

In 48hrs I drove from Charleston, SC to the fine folks at DDM  had my braces installed.  Drove to Andrews, NC and stayed at the Hawkesdene House Mountain Retreat. Celebrated wife's 50th birthday.  Drove the Dragon twice in 17 degree weather then the Hellbender Hwy 28 to Wahalla and then back to Charleston.  200 miles of twisties and 800+ round trip with detours.
My wife coined this the "Most excellent Winter Solstice adventure"  Happy birthday to the Forum and my navigator/driving coach.
