Opened the garage door, looked at it, made sure it was still there and closed the garage door. With all this snow she isn't going anywhere for a while. :(

Still have TPMS to disable.  I'll try removing the sensors.

Why would you want to disable TPMS?  You prefer to be surprised by a flat tire as opposed to a warning your about to loose a tire? :idk:

Opened the garage, put the top down and drove the heck out of it.  75 and sunny.  Beauty of a day.  Def can verify, damn perfect.  Oh, clay bar, polish, wax, shine....  Def's in town, can't be dirty.  it's not a Def detail, but it's not too bad.

POS VETT ;  Please Post what you did to XM band , and by pulling the fuse to On Star will the car still start ? Detail what wires and where you found them.

Unplugging the connector to the XM module will result in the head unit skipping the XM bands when you hit the "Band" button.  So now, you will only have AM and FM when you hit the "Band" button.  The XM module is located in the trunk on the passenger side wall mounted vertically.  It sits just above-behind the rear wheel well.  Pry the carpet on that corner and you will see it.  There are two plugs; one for the antenna and the other for signal/power.  You can unplug the signal/power connector or both.

I didn't try starting the car after pulling the OnStar fuse.  I just know that the keyless entry doesn't work w/o that fuse.  Now, the VCIM is a different story, at least on the C6, if all connectors were unplugged, the car wouldn't start.  Need to leave one plugged or do a couple jumper wires if you have to have all 4 unplugged.

The original idea of mandated TPMS is offensive to me.  I'm not one of those idiots who never check tire pressure, overheated the tires to cause tread separation, then rollover ensued and blamed the tire manufacturer.  I believe that idiot-proof systems create idiots.

Secondly, I have multiple sets of wheels and tires for every car I own.  The Z06 at one time had 6.5 sets of wheels (4.5 now), the M3 had 4 (2 now), etc.  The Kappa is not immune to that sickness of mine; once I can get the PCD changed to that of Corvette/BMW, it will have at least two (and then it can swap wheels with the CTS-V and the M3).  TPMS cause headache/extra effort when changing wheels.  So, off with its head :D

I finally got the draw-tite hitch 24833 installed and had 2 resonators removed. The folks at solo-performance had to work some magic to get the hitch and muffler to be friends. New longer exhaust tips, new bends and mounts required... :( If I had of know I would have had a custom hitch fabricated.  PM me if you are interested in pics (ie installing a hitch with gxp with mach exhaust).

Looks great, didn't get photos since I had to do a few minor adjustments on the tail lights (add washers to bring them up to the body) and the left one wasn't working, plug wasn't seated.  Noticed that when I used my turn signal.  I also had to remove the spoiler and place foam pads under it.  RK doesn't sit perfectly flat and I don't want water leaking into the trunk.

I had a shop redo the bends on my Solo Mach exhaust to fit my hitch. Only$60.00. Not too bad.

Glad to hear it, Joe.

Drove mine to work in the ice and it did AWESOME. Only time it slipped a bit was when I tried to make it.

How are the tips in relationship to the rear fascia? I needed to get them extended or new ones. The Mach tips lined up directly with the rear mount holes so the muffler needed to be moved forward.

Same here!

How about 3/8" of ice?

Fortunately I had my top cover on, so clearing the ice from the top and windshield wasn't bad.

It handled it pretty well. Light foot and careful driving, no problem.

Jim that looks a lot like the road in front of my house.  The hardest time I had was walking to the car and around it to scrap the windows.

Ordered the NOKYA H13 Stage 1 Artic White headlights for the car. I was tired of mismatched lights.

Paid for my Z0K springs, now to plan for installation. (Snow/ice/pestilence/etc)

Received some Continental Tire decals (special ones for the Grand-AM series) They sent me 8 smaller ones and 4 larger windshield stickers! Would anyone like one? Joe need to know small or large, yellow or black and silver for your garage. Already figured you'd want one...
