The Lambo door support rods are for driving in a parade with the Lambo doors up.  It's a very cool design considering my pops made them from a strait rod.
They can also be used for car shows.

I think it's none of those.

The way I understand them is the metal/plate insert (the one with "SOLSTICE" script) is too long for the plastic indent the insert sits in.  When the car went back to the dealer, both sides were buckled.  I'm thinking someone didn't account for thermal expansion/contraction during the design process.
This happened to me on (just) the passenger side also.  The thin metal trim strip bowed up in the middle and wouldn't stick back down.  Dealer replaced it (but then I got the WR lighted sills anyway :) )

It's stupid question time! Could you explain the use of the Lambo door supports, are you selling them and have you ever made support assist for the engine hood struts ? (to prevent being blow shut in a strong wind) Dave at DDM suggested this so the hood would not slam down on my open Lambo doors. Thanks!
I don't have anything for the hood.  I have never had an issue with wind pushing the hood down when my doors were up.  See here for lambo door support rods.

On Monday afternoon shops are closed in Greece.
so once i was over with my job, i had some free time and i tried to manufacture a makeshift fuel disconnect tool out of hard, small diameter, plumbing pipe.
well, the idea was good, the diameter was right, but it seemed it couldn't just push the steel line out of place to finish my OCC installation, since there was no lever...

after 20 minutes and a cut finger, i cleaned the blood from the steel line and decided that tommorow i should search to find the disconnecting tool

and no, i hadn't drunk any ouzo when i decided to try this... as Kelu said, i'm just "strange"

Maybe his car took a picture of his bloody finger.

Arabas what diameter is the line?  I might have some brass shell casings that would work better then the plumbing line.  Of course sending you a shell casing may be the real trick.

You could order a disconnecting tool from the UK here.

http://viewitem.eim.ebay.gr/Sealey-Air-Conditioning-Fuel-Disconnect-Tool-Set-VS045-/120627517068/item

You can pick up one of these in ANY auto parts store here. You don't need both of them, just the smaller one.

Took my valve cover off to get it powdercoated. Gonna do the valve cover, the CAI and the charge tubes body colour. Coil cover in silver. They'll be ready next week.

I was able to get the braided line off the corner of the valve cover but I mangled the clip that holds it on. Why wouldn't they have made that one so you could use the fuel line disconnect tool like you can for the center one?

I spent about 1/2 hour strightening the clip put so I can reuse the hose. Hopefully it'll work. I'll know next week.

Rain-X always smears when applied.  Let it dry/haze then you can buff it with a clean damp cloth.

thx Bob!!
i wanted to do it asap. didn't want to wait for the tool to get shipped...
anyway, today i fast drove it to the nearest Opel dealership to borrow their disconnecting tool, only to find out that THAT OPEL DEALER DIDN'T HAVE A DISCONNECTING TOOL   :gaah: :gaah: :gaah:

sometimes i feel i have a car from Mars...

i ended up a few blocks down at a Ford dealership. the guy there had some kind of fuel disconnecting tools, tried them but after 2 seconds he got a small screwdriver and popped it out...  :yay:
installed the hoses and got back to work asap..

ssssssss.... don't tell my boss i was away!!

I saw you blasting by in the rightmost lane. I was all the way left stuck in traffic.

I didn't mind the traffic so much with the top down though.
