Topic: Projector Headlights for Solstice

Is there any actual science (like aiming) done with these, or are they just jamming sockets into the space that fits where our lights go?

I like the idea of this in general, but in practice the lights I've seen have frankly been crap. I spent a ton of cash for similar units for another car I own and the results were LAUGHABLY poor.

I spoke with them and they have a company that makes them, it's what they do, not some kid in his garage so I hope they will be quality, they have a good rep and are not a small company.

Most of what they offer, they offer in both chrome and blacked out versions. Keep sending the emails maybe we can get this done.

When I emailed them and referenced the VW Golf black headlights.  I like it cause its a dual setup, though I did say that I would want either the bottom bar or the amber turn signal to stay.  Whichever one stayed for it to become the turn signal.  I think it would be quite interesting if the bar on the bottom became the turn signal in amber, maybe on a slightly smaller scale or just not so tall.   Would others like to see this or something similar, just throwing it out there for peoples taste on a headlight that would look similar.  Not that there is a chance for this to be the style of ours unless others shoot them emails in reference to this headlight.  Though I am not a fan of how the halos light up but that a simple fix with other projectors.  Since I mainly want the plastic housing, also the turn signal assembly and then put my own projectors in the unit.

I pretty much want what the Sky came with, only better. I do want halo's could care less about HID, I have projectors in my Denali they are not HID and they work great and don't blind people.

I wonder how their taillights would look like on a Solstice. These are for a 350Z

I would love to have a dual projector setup with HID at least on the high beams at least. Shouldnt have the high beams on with oncoming traffic anyway so wont blind people with them.

I have been searching and looking.....searching and looking.....searching and you get the point, for probably 3 months now.  The Solstice headlight assembly you showed in the pic was the VERY FIRST TIME I’VE GOTTEN REALLY EXCITED about what I want the headlight upgrade to look like on my ‘06 Sol.  I am literally considering options and possibilities from anything I can think of.

DID THIS EVER COME TO FRUITION?!?!?!?

When I say I am exploring options and possibilities from anything I can think of, I mean things like, I bought my solstice with the RKSport front bumper already in place.  Love the attitude and they kept the Pontiac style grills, which is very important to me.  For the fog/turn lamps (which mine has none, and yes its as illegal as it gets) its just an open 2” wide by 11” tall slightly curved hole.  I am looking at things like the 350Z lower grill that has a similar opening as well as the Ford Edge Sport lower grill which has a similar opening....for options to reroute DRL and turn signal lamps.  I’m also exploring every idea I can think of or find for moving the turn lamp into the headlight housing.  I’ve talked to Traxcustoms and they are pricy for sure.  Anybody have any good direction they can point me in?!?!!

HELPPPPPPPPP, please, I’ll consider any idea, no matter how crazy!!!!  (I’ve been licking the windows on the short bus since third grade ;-))

The headlamp assemblies individually new online are like $250 each, I assume the dealer is more like $350.  I feel like the price point for aftermarket fancy ones should be maybe $800-1000 per set.  What is the trax company charging? Looking at the google search results for solstice projector headlights, all trax is doing is modifying OEM headlamps and customizing.  Considering they are the only ones doing this, DIY is the only other option you have.
