I'm not even sure now just WHAT I am going to do at the meet. The probeam and maybe some JPM seat belt loops but that won't take long. After that, I'm going to help others and soak it all in...

Was going to do a stereo this year but I can't swing the one that I want and I'm not even sure if it will be available yet. It'll have to wait 'til next year but I can wait.

A little over a month to go!
Just trying to do my part...

I definitely can wash and wax if someone has a PC!!! I have my own stuff too... Sounds like a great job for the weekend;

A sandpaper wash mit, some sand and water in a bucket, a beautiful SOL or SKY...

JK. I use Poorboys products and will bring them along. I do not have a PC and do everything by hand... So anyone interested in trying out some new stuff, PM me so I can bring enough stuff for at least one day of washing, Joe is this possible???

We usually have someone do the car detailing down at the cabin.  It's normally done by Go-N Def, he's station on the other side of the big pond.  DarkTech filled in after that but he's lost in North Carolina on the weekends.  So if you can do that, that would be awesome.  We have most of what you need already here (buffer, pads, microfibers) so all you would need is your labor.

Wish I could be there for this one. Joe, my PC is in the storage locker, you can led it out if needed.

If anyone needs directions on how to use it, look in the detailing section. I put a sticky in there last year...

This is great information. I had the same question in mind thinking I'd figure it out when I got there. I'd like to help on all my own mod's so I can learn the "how" and "why". Additionally, I've some basic - medium experience with mod's/installs from wrenching with my old Jeeping and motorcycle clubs. Additionally, use to detail cars for extra cash. Recently bought a new professional random orbital buffer from Griots garage with some new trimmings for waxing etc. - After I help out with my own mods, I could help out the guys detailing? I won't claim to be an expert anymore, but I'll help anyway I can. As for the solo install, I figured I'd be paying cash? Any recommendations?, Otherwise, I could put some high dollars cigars and Crown XR ($200 a bottle) in Solo's hands? LOL.

Anyone here can help with the exhaust.  I drink Labatts Blue or Sam Adams
Do we know if anyone is going to be doing the brake caliper painting? I'd love to do mine in Red while down there?
Buy some G2 caliper paint and we can get you setup to do this.  I have the Duplicolor red but it's crap and comes off after 6 months.
If I purchase the Cobalt, Solstice, HHR Stage Kit 19212670 for my 2008 GXP would this be something we could install at the meet?

We could install the GMPP but you wouldn't get the dealer warranty with it.  I would have to check my files to see if I have a 2008 Solstice GMMP tune.    Is yours a manual or auto.

You need to purchase the sensors.  Werks sells them cheap.  Ask them for a HPTuners stock GMPP file for a 08 Manual GXP since we already have HPTuners.  You get the same advertised numbers that GM puts out for the GMPP.  Gains - Possible additional tuning for higher boost by one of the professional tuners.

Supporting members get the race tune for $495 vice $649.    The race tune is equivalent to what I have for a tune.  The regular one is only mildly faster, not aggressive like the race.

Do you have the GMPP installed and is your Redline a manual or auto?

Critter has already promised a ride... (a real ride) so he will definitely get a new hat, I owe DEF for the tips on detailing (I will leave it with Joe), Joe for the Meet, and Randy (DDM) for the work on the car, so that already makes 4 for the MEET...

Not to mention cookin' steaks, car warshin', and anything else I can find myself useful for...

How do I become a supporting memeber? So the race tune does not require 101 octane or anything? It's my daily driver so I can't have it die on me. It's a manual Redline with the GMPP tune.

Supporting members get the race tune for $495 vice $649.    The race tune is equivalent to what I have for a tune.  The regular one is only mildly faster, not aggressive like the race.

Do you have the GMPP installed and is your Redline a manual or auto?

OK, so here's my situation:

I've booked at the La Quinta Inn in Solomons ($80/night for a king or $88 for two queens if anyone's still looking for accomodations) on hotels.com.  I'll be driving down Friday after work with Spacy and Hiney and heading home Sunday.

For something to bring, if anyone has a hankering for something from NYC or LI that travels well, I will happily pick it up.  Bagels, anyone?  Otherwise, I'll review the list as the date draws near and buy some stuff locally to fill it out.

I have the following uninstalled items in my posession:
  • Heated Seat Kit (2)
  • Wind Restrictor (unlit)
  • Air Horn
  • GMR HIDs

I also would like the blinker mod and I need to find a way to clean up the jagged liner edge around my trunk light.

I have the following mechanical and culinary abilities:
  • None

Fortunately, I am quite aware of this (and can provide witnesses who will be present at SMMM7) so I know better than to try to do any of those things myself or threaten someone else's car or stomach.  I realize my mod wishlist is pretty basic, but yes- the odds of me successfully installing an unlit WR without starting a fire are staggeringly low.

My abilities include cigarette breaks, shopping, off-color humor, documenting debauchery, and tormenting people with ordinary objects.  If anyone needs help with that stuff, I'm your guy.  I plan to help out with hospitality (until Dee gets sick of me), clean up, taking kinda decent point & shoot pics for people's how-to write ups if they'd like, and anything else I can do for anyone or everyone.  I can probably also get GM wiring diagrams for anything people may need- please PM any requests at least a week before the meet.

If anyone takes pity on me and wants to help with my list (by that I mean do it for me and avoid an international crisis), that'll be awesome.  Otherwise, no biggie- I can probably deal with it all some other time.  Thanks for reading!
