Bluetooth mic location

Whats the best location for the mic when you have bluetooth?  Is it better to be in the a-pillar or in the unit itself, I am curious being in a convertible and how much the wind would be a factor for the different locations.  I wouldn't be putting it on my visors since they have been out of my car since the first week I had it.

The stock OnStar location is in the A pillar to the left, I don't have OnStar so I installed mine there for my radio and it's not clear.  Others I've installed the mic on the plastic cross member by the left visor using the bracket provided and I hear it works well.  I'll be taking mine apart and relocating it.
