 I finished up my DDM mods today. The Backbone went on yesterday & the ProBeam today. I did this so I could have a chance to see the difference each mod would make (both very positive). I can't really say anything that hasn't allready been said about these mods (its all true), but what I can tell you is that for me it changed the handling quite a noticeable bit, especially the ProBeam. Since I don't race & this is the first car I have done any kind of mod like this to, I wasn't sure what to expect (how much it would change). Usually I'm pretty skeptical about things until I experience it for myself but even just a short drive through some backroads & a couple high speed freeway entrance & exit ramps the change is definitely noticeable.
 I now have over 21,000 miles on the car & even though I don't race I do play a lot & I got used to the way it handled up until now. Now I have to get used to it again (this is a good thing) & though I have read about this in several threads its hard to believe that changes to the rear of the car effect the handling of the front - now I'm a believer. It is better even with the crappy RS-A's still on the car.
 Sorry for the rambling but I'm havin some fun with my Sol!  :D
 
P/S: I did have to do quite a bit of grinding for exhaust clearance as some have allready found out & commented on so I was expecting this, but all is good.
 I also wanted to thank everyones input on this mod subject & also again thank the folks at DDM for a great product & quick response/delivery.  :thumbs:

This echoes my experience as I added the ProBeam and Backbone last Wednesday.  I noticed the difference on the first turn in a near perfectly flat parking lot. I put about 30 miles on yesterday on a combination of twisties and rough roads, and agree that I'm going to have to learn how to drive it all over again.

The rear end is much more predictable now than it was before.

That's exactly what I'm setting up to do, I wanted to go ahead & stiffen up the car now for the added power. It's looking like probably only a stage II for now, the III is a little out of my reach right now  :( because of the added cost of a header & exhaust system for the extra flow & the labor to put the III on since DDM will probably need the car for R&D of this system on an 09.

I'm pretty sure I can handle the stage II install myself.

Don't forget a stiffer more resilient clutch when you go to stage III, just more bucks you would have to spend

I have an automatic, I don't think I need to do anything there unless it would require a different torque converter  :idk:
