Topic: Trunk lid won't open

My trunk release button on my remotes or in glove box will not open the trunk. We just installed a amp and speaker box behind the seats. I have pulled the back panels back off and looking for a disconnected wire or something but can't find why it wouldn't be getting power. It doesn't even sound like it trys to release. Any ideas? All other electronics work fine in the car.

Found the problem.   When checking the relay #18 under the hood.   Looked at the fuses and in slot #10 25amp fuse was blown for the trunk.   Replaced the fuse and trunk opens like new.

I'm thinking I must have shared the same ground post on the back wall, as the trunk release when I installed the amp on initial hook up and that must have blew the fuse when I connected the power lead to the battery.

Ahh, we had another member after putting in sound proofing, found that the ground wasn't hooked up and he had closed his trunk.  I had to remove the left rear wheel, take off the fasteners for the back of the wheel liner and cut a slit in the trunk to reach the T handle to open the trunk.

My Sky is in my garage and no engine or wireharness, and the paint shop closed the trunk     After looking at manual and using a flashlight, I figured out I could undo the trunk by using a long needlenose to yank the cable since my hooped trim was removed for paint.  I am thinking of installing a long wire or line into the pass compartment and hide behind the bulkhead/waterfall thing in case of emergency I could dig it out and open trunk easier.  I know there's also that release, but this might be easier.

I am thinking about a wire from the latch to inside the waterfall storage compartment. That should be easy to do.
