 Issue w/6disk Monsoon-2006 Sol
Just now, I had a disk fast forward through several dozen tracks, finally got it to stop at one, after than none of the buttons on the radio except the >> work, would not shut off, etc, none of the buttons on the wheel work, and while it would eject a disk, will not load any. Once all were ejected, it's 'stuck' on FM, and only the volume can be changed on the radio itself, and only can >> to seek the next station upstream. The only thing that shuts it off is removing the key and opening the door. Soon as the door is shut, and key on, it's on again, stuck on FM

Any ideas??

Pull battery cable, let it sit for 10 minutes or so, reconnect and try again?

Will be the first thing I do when I get it home (as long as the rain has not started), thanks
anyway pulling the ECM would accomplish the same thing? (only ask cuz it's easier to do :D )

If your ECM has no aftermarket tune, then a reflash by the dealer with all the latest TSB's may fix the issue.

It does, and on the way home it decided to start working again. So for the moment all is well, but I'm thinking it will flake out again, prolly sooner than later.

Here's several options.

The BCM controls power to the radio - Use a #7mm socket and ratchet and pull the BCM connector off and reinstall it.  That will reset the pins that send power to radio.

Also.
The radio actually can be flashed by a dealer.  Take it in for a new load.  When ever you replace the radio, they have to flash it with a VIN.

Good to know about the flash thing, I'll be replacing mine sooner than later with the SKY USB radio, no more CDs in the car, more room for a buncha flash drives
