Street night @ Richmond Dragway

Going to the local drag strip right up the street from me tonight to run the coupe while I'm waiting for the SC & get a base 1/4 mi. time set for comparison. They have street class racing every other Friday night from 5:00-10:00pm, should be fun.

 :goat:

Why someone have to drive 12h and risk their lives literally and spend about 500$ to run on a drag strip and some others can do it like walking in the park next to their house.

Ok jimmy:

Also just scheduled to have the coupe dyno'd with Performance Autosport today @2:00pm to get a base HP reading & will return for another run after the SC is on HOPEFULLY next week.

I'll post all the info from the dyno & dragstrip on this thread.

Jimmy, lower the air pressure in the rear to about 20 PSI, that will help.  Don't forget to air them back up when you're done. Drive around the water pits since you don't have drag radials.  Street tires will keep water in the tread and ruin the track.

Richmond is the track I was asked to leave because I was going to fast for a convertible without a roll cage.

Oh and the track did suck, everyone was having problems hooking up.

I've never been, just rode by & looked, It's not much to it, the strip looked a little rough. Not sure if it's ever been resurfaced or not - guess I'll find out tonight, if it's bad I'll find some place else to go with the SC.

Thanks all for the support.

Virginia Motorsports Park is not that far from Richmond Dragway... I use to run at VMP and it's a nice track... Last I heard Richmond was pretty rough.

Jimmy,
Also put 35 or 40 if the RSA's can handle that much in your front tires.
As Joe said put about 20 lbs on the back or try 25 lbs if you have a problem with the lower tire pressure.

Good, fighting with my crappy scanner now to post time slips & dynograph. Also waiting on pictures my friend took. Whats the largest file size I can upload without using photo bucket?

Best dyno pull was 140.07HP & 134.92 Tourque
Best 1/4 mi. ET was 15.8697sec @ 84.99mph with a .0836 reaction time
