Audi A5 TDI specs:
"On paper, the engine may sound meager with only 240 bhp at 4000 rpm, however the 369 ft-lbs. of torque at only 1500 rpm that had us smiling so much our jowls were showing… or maybe that was from such authoritative acceleration."
Those are stock numbers. If gains are similar to our turbo cars, a jump of 75 or 100 ft lbs and 50 HP is not out of the quesiton. From what I can find, it weights in at about 3550 pounds, only a bit more than a stock GXP (2990?)
500 pounds = 50 HP. If kelu is nearing the 300 HP range, the Audi is nearing the 350 HP range. Not out of the question at all, although with a Diesel, it's more about the low end grunt that gets the thing moving.
Can you tell I'm bored? Just did a bunch of meaningless research on an Audi I have no intentions of buying. Although, truth be told, I really like the 5 series...
