Kelu, the K04 turbo is not as the one in our cars.
To my knowledge there are different part numbers to these K04's.
Great pictures, did the Viper win that race?.

No is not same k04, they have weaker one afaik, same for HPFP, map sensors and many other things. They have inferior parts but make more power, this drives me crazy.
How could the Viper won against my car club colleague?
To tell you the truth, I don't remember, that was a qualification race and don't think the drivers were focused to win but to mark a good ET.

Good job Kelu!! keep racing (GJ would say "keep walking", but don't listen to him, just keep racing)  :poke: to GJ
they have inferior peripheral parts, but probably superior internal parts for the engine, that's why they can reach 370-380 hp (i am talking about the 265hp 2.0L Turbo engine). don t forget that their engine is much more mass than ours, so it makes sense for companies to develop parts for them. that s a huge market.... let's see the VW rwd roadster, when it reaches production (if the ESP can get completely off)

Finally got to watch the video.  Cool.  Great job Kelu.  Out drag trees don't light all three ambers at the same time.  That is strange.

Yep, Kelu's right. Amateur races tend to use the sport trees, pro and more serious races use the pro tree.

Speak for yourself!  For Kelu, the chance for red light increases only with the amount of trash floating around.

Yes, I think I understood but I have one of those moments when I don't have a good reply at least same good as yours and is better to shut up ... I was waiting new movies/pictures to be published on the web so I could try to change the subject  :D

I red lighted because of the plastic bag, because I really moved the car, because the sensors tricked me, but I didn't red lighted because of "turbo center" for sure, when you have things like that around you all the time you are used and you are not influenced anymore.  :poke:

Kelu,

in this county, when men are not influenced by that stuff anymore, we take them out behind the wood shed and shoot them.  The are no longer of any value to society.

I didn't said ever, there are moments when I'm not. If you are influenced by that no matter what than you should see a doctor.  :kwh:

Back to topic
This race I had a friendly challenge with a good friend of mine from west of the country. Audi A5 3.0 TDI quattro. Last year I was wining against him, I was doing constant 13.3-13.5 and he was doing 13.8-14.0, basically we were training each other for the finals, I was using him for launch reference (he has 4x4 quattro from Audi) and he was using my late speed for reference but I was wining all the time and feeling good racing a friend.

This year he changed the tuner (from MTM to superchips) and he had a new personal record of 13.2 on previous races in Hungary. This time he won against me, I didn't had a chance on this track versus his quattro and his new power level, he did 13.3 on this track while I was doing 13.7-13.9. So the race is on, next time when we will meet on a race I hope I will have what I need to win back my glory against a very nice looking car.

The superchips must have put him at a lot higher RWHP. Is not this Audi a lot more heavy than your GT?.

Audi A5 TDI specs:

"On paper, the engine may sound meager with only 240 bhp at 4000 rpm, however the 369 ft-lbs. of torque at only 1500 rpm that had us smiling so much our jowls were showing… or maybe that was from such authoritative acceleration."

Those are stock numbers.  If gains are similar to our turbo cars, a jump of 75 or 100 ft lbs and 50 HP is not out of the quesiton.  From what I can find, it weights in at about 3550 pounds, only a bit more than a stock GXP (2990?)
500 pounds = 50 HP.  If kelu is nearing the 300 HP range, the Audi is nearing the 350 HP range.  Not out of the question at all, although with a Diesel, it's more about the low end grunt that gets the thing moving.

Can you tell I'm bored?  Just did a bunch of meaningless research on an Audi I have no intentions of buying.  Although, truth be told, I really like the 5 series...

I would say GJ is pretty correct, I still wonder how my buddies (representatives of Superchips/Revo) succeed to bring this Audi from 240bhp to estimated 350bhp with stock turbo!!!

The torque is what makes the difference.
This is why on another thread, I am suggesting to Kelu to challenge Vince from Trifecta to give him a tune that can get him to 12.8 - 12.9 on the 1/4, maybe even less than that.

I can't do that, don't think I will have the chance to go to an event with that timing system this year. My budget is dead, to attend on those events costs me $500-$800 which I can't afford until I don't see a real gain in power on my car. Westers tune has proved to me that is 100% reliable, until I don't see a clear data with big gains from a different tune I stay with what I have, i'm not interested in 0.2-0.3s improvement with 500-600$.

The good news is that one of my friends ordered a professional drag timing system which he will share almost for free for races which are around my city, I need to run on that one too until I can say I do improvements.
My season is almost done for 2010, I'm a little bit disappointed but this is it.
