DeepBlueGXP, "How to Install a Line Lock" certainly provides a step by step process that is forthright and informative!  Can't wait to here how it goes?

Anti lock brakes have two separate lines for the front brakes.  A how to install will follow.  Once I get the parts I'll be running to the auto store for adapter and brake lines and perhaps this weekend I'll have the install thread ready.

I've seen some other web sites that cap off one of the outputs of the anti lock brake system but I don't want to affect the way the stock system works.  So I'll install a line lock on each output.    In the off mode, they'll function as pass through so the system will operate normally.

Joe isn't saying it but I suspect that he can't put the switch in the shift knob because he already has one there for the ejection seat (AKA James Bond/Goldfinger).  He would look pretty silly if at the start of a race he accidentally hit the ejection seat instead of releasing the brake.

Kelu $1400 for a flight from Europe to San Diego isn't too bad, I just had a trip for work last week that went from Champaign IL to Lake Charles LA that cost almost $1200 for airfare.  What you need to do is figure out how to get your day job to need you to be in the states and have them pay for the airfare.  ;)

Back on topic

Anyone know if its possible to reprogram the ABS so that you can lock presure in the line if you add a switch to control it?  I am guessing you would have to change the stock valve that bleeds pressure off.  Just an idea.

It has a little to do with the thread size of JPMs shifter and the fact that I already have a switch and relays.
If I was to replace the shifter I wouldn't have the design I like and I would have to get a new shifter from JPM with different threads.  More $$$ and I've spent way to much this year on both GXPs doing seats.

I should have the valves tomorrow and I already have the relays and switch, I just need to take the valves to the auto parts store and match the correct adapters and buy two 8 inch pre-made sections of brake line.

Here is how I plan to wire the install this weekend.

I received the two valves last week but I cannot locate fittings in BFE.

There are two methods for modifing the brake system:
1 - keep brake lines stock to revert back if I remove the valves (more difficult in finding the adapters)
2 - cut existing brake lines and double flare with avalible 3/16 line and get two 1/8 NPT adapters with a 3/16 ID. (easier method, but cannot revert to stock)

So the saga is on to find adapter first.

Oh and I stopped by the local shop to see how much they would charge to install them.  $240.00 labor.  I have the valves, relay and switch.

Guess I'll have to cut the lines and flare them.    I just ordered the adapters and I already have two lengths of tubing with the 3/16 adapters on each end.

3) do # (2) then go to dealer & buy new brake line. So you have them to revert back to stock if ever need.

Kelu, Can you tell me how the std. trans. shifter knob is attached to the stock shift lever?
Does it unscrew or is it all one piece?   Thanks, Jerry

I looked up buying replacement lines some time ago and it referred me to a generic pipe size to which you cut and make what you need to fit.

#3    **219580    PIPE BRK,(M/CYL PRIMARY W/ESC)    M (JL4, JL9)
#8 PIPE BRK,(3/16" X 25 FT),(BULK) (NOT AVAILABLE)    M (JL9)

If you hook up your 2 line locs to pipes #2&3  I believe you will end up locking up all 4 wheels.Use the #8 lines in the diagram which go only to the front wheels.

I only plan on splicing into the two lines that feed the front brakes after the anti-lock brake valve.  I bought two line locks.
