The only diaphragm I know about in our cars is the BOV, so I'll assume that is what you are referring to. I figured that is a very small rubber thing that couldn't make a noise this loud, and because it's rubber I didn't think it would make a metal hitting metal ish kinda sound.
BUT on the other hand, it's easier to reproduce the noise now that I've put the the stock spring back compared with the harder Dejon spring. Forgot that I changed the spring...
BUT when I log I don't see any major change in boost or air related stuff when the noise happens... If it was leaking boost wouldn't the logs show something?
The only thing that's been touched recently is the downpipe, and that crap is rock solid to the turbo, but maybe could be loose from DP to catback. I haven't gone under to check that recently.
I am pushing a lot of boost. So maybe even the Dejon spring can't handle it. Trying to remember if I'd heard the noise ever after the Wester's but before the downpipe...
Best way to find this noise would be go to go the dyno. But I wanted to get my issues fixed BEFORE I went

Oh also I am still getting the P0236 code, so maybe it is the BOV. The code only happens when I push the car hard and cause that noise. And limp mode will start the next time I drive the car. Maybe it's just the wires being f'd up like everyone else. But I saw on one of Elff's posts that the message with his code is
P0236 Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance
Mine is different:
P0236 - TC Boost System (Old) (Immature)
