Yup, they gave me the old part.  There has to be some hose clogged.  But I have no idea what or where.

No actually I asked them to consider the turbo seal.  I think that is it so that will be the next step.  It may be cheaper to just put in a new engine.  Very frustrating.  Another missed work day.  Only good thing is the dealer is next to a War between the states battlefield, so I can explore while I wait.  It is one in which the good guys one.

Have them give you a new engine. Sell it and get the V8 DIY kit from Werks.

No, do not have an oil leak.  Have a oil burn problem.

Here's an update on oil in the PCV line.

I got the fuel line tool, popped the PCV line, it looked dry. Now it's been a while since I first saw oil around there so there's a chance it got all sucked out by now. I blew air into it both directions and the check valve was doing it's job.

Chuck,

Sorry I didn't get back sooner, someone's spoiler and mud flaps had me busy all weekend.

Not sure what's next.  I don't think it would be a turbo seal as the intercooler didn't have oil in it.  Sure it was a bit dirty.   My next thing would be to check the compression of the cylinders.    Duck1313 had some knock and smoke on the GMPP+Westers too.  He said since he's been off the Westers for some time, it has been fine.   Not sure on the corelation of the two but we know that oil can cause detonation.  The difference between yours and Duck1313, is that you're still smoking since it was reverted back to GMPP.

Oil could be leaking through the exhaust side of the turbo past a seal.  You would get the smoke and there would be no trace of oil in the intake.  The oil can combust in the exhaust and give the smoke that you are seeing.

Ahh, makes sence.  He had a 13+ knock when I scanned it last.  We then reverted his back to GMPP.  Sounded like a bag of nuts thrown under the hood.  Don't know the AFR

No knock on gmpp tune!  Oil apparently lowered the octane.  Still very very frustrated as it is so darn intermittent.  Worried I will take it to the dealer and no smoke.  Last time in, the darn thing would not smoke and after 1 1/2 hour drive.  That is the worst

I would not mind paying for an engine rebuild, but hate to spend the same money on just diagnoses.

At the dealer, toebitus nailed it!  It is blown turbo seals.   They are replacing turbo.
Hopefully, this is the end of this saga!
