I just posted this on the BB.  Probably everyone knows about it or has done this here, but just in case...

For those new to the forums, or the kappas, many of us have added aftermarket seat heaters to our cars.  This morning I went out driving (top down of course) and for the first time in months, the temps were down in the lower 50's, so I though it would be a good idea to tell/remind others while there's time before winter.

Various heater kits are available from eBay and many different vendors. DBG had set up a group buy type discount last year (though I don't know if that is still in effect): Heated seat kit - group buy

Forum member Odiaz had also gathered all the various install instructions and switch placement options into an excellent "how to" at his site: HowTos/HeatedSeats

Take it from me, this mod is CERTAINLY worth the time & effort!

Know, yes done it, No, my  Columbia full fleece jackets  & fleece skullcap + the cars heater work good down to  40F.  :)  G/F thinks I'm

It's a great mod just don't have a need for it. Sense I don't go topless under 40F

No nips here yet but in did get into the mid/upper 60's for the lows last week. I bought 2 kits at the end of winter last year and don't know if I am going to install them or not.  Not probably a necessity here but will wait and see.  Otherwise somebody on this forum may be getting a good deal on them!

I did mine.  I'd definitely be willing to work out something for someone that is looking for someone to install seat heaters in Toronto.

DBG, Is this group buy still good for us, or was this a limited time offer?

Try it and see.  He said originally that this discount wouldn't expire

this is a great mod, came in handy this spring.

Jeremy if you need a hand let me know. I think the wiring and switch mounting was the hardest part.
