free - lower your center of gravity!
« on: September 08, 2010, 08:26:55 PM »
I was reading an autocross book and went - oh duh!  Maybe y'all knew this already but that electric control for your seat allows you to lower your center of gravity.  For me, since I had my seat up pretty high, that meant lowering 170 lbs by a couple of inches.  Not profound, but I did notice the difference.

I would have to install a basement in my car if I wanted to lower the seat any more.  If I raise the seat I have this slight problem with the top of the windshield blocking my view.  And no GJ I don't wish to raise the seat more so that I can just look over the top of the windshield.

See my thread on Kirkey seat installation. This method will lower the CG a lot.

Just remove the seats (and rails) and sit on the floor leaning against the back panel. :)
