Buy a FUEL LINE DISCONNECT I've seen them for around 10 bucks online. I overpaid at a local store.
its' the 5/16" and 3/8" size. There is a larger one that won't work on our car.
There's all different types. This is the one I got:

Stick it in, push up, might have to tap it a bit, and pull. It's not easy but just kinda play with it and it'll come out.

When you look inside you understand why the tool is shaped that way. This end looks clean. You can dip it in something that is meant to clean out oil if you need. But if there is oil in this line, you may have big problems.

This is the other end. Mine was clean.

Taking off the other side is easy, just slide the white thing over and it comes right off. That is the check valve. The air flows away from the airbox into the engine.
While you have it off, blow into each end to make sure air is only flowing in the right direction.
