Battery Issues?

SO here is my issue. On thursday my car wouldnt start becuas eit had sat for 3 weeks w/o being started in my garage. I took it in to have it charged and i the battery was still good and they charged it for me. Drove it around for a few days and then tonight samething happen went to start it and nothing. What could be the issue. I was maybe thinking alternator but im clueless now. Any help is much appreciated. Also its a red top Optima and its about 1.5 years old.

have it tested it should be putting out 13.7 to 14.3 volts, running and over 12 v shut off.  Autozone will test it for you

Sounds like you may have a small load on the battery.  If it killed it completely, a cell may be bad and that would result in the problems.  I also rem goat saying he had bad luck with those batteries.

I had the battery tested on thursday and it came back good, so they charged it completly. Its cooked allright as none of the lights will even come on. Not sure what could be drawing power...

 Mike they kept mine and charged it for 3 1/4 hours then the next morniing they called for me to come get my new Battery was charged but only putting out 110 cold crank amps. Its OK now .

This is a pretty common occurance with our batteries, it is the battery. Just replace it and be done with it, I did the recharge and die thing a couple of times, and yes it tested good, and finally just replaced it not a problem since.

Well replaced the battery and the power cable for my stereo and so far so good. Lets see in a few days if im saying this lol..
