V8 engines are rare in Greece, due to the tax system, that makes every car above 2.3lt, almost imposible to maintain (yearly taxes, insurance etc).
my father has a Kia Sportage 2,7lt V6 and every time i drive it, i step on it just to hera the roar of the V6 engine... i 'd love to have a V8, these engines are a legend and they sound like one!!!
BUT, i am not a fan of "there is no replacement for displacement".
technology has given us small engines, like 1.8 lt, 2.0lt and 2.5lt that can give lots and lots of power and torque.
if you like to drive "pushed" cars, small, tuned, turbo engines, give you more fun and feeling than you could ever imagine.
if i could, i would keep my GT and push it to get 400hp and i would also buy a coupe (got to love the Sol coupe) and put a V8 in it...
