I drop it in tomorrow if I like. But the 2L still going strong and has the right balance of Power & MPG for my 120 mile around trip to work. I'm keeping the 2L until she dies. And to be different, I'm thinking a STi motor & AWD drive train swap. Or just drop in 3.8L turbo from a GN.

3.8 turbo is about a 400 lbs motor with it's iron block. Weighs similar to modern day LSX motor.

Yes, but the V8 is already been done. This V6 as fare as I know has not. The 3.8L iron block can make a lot of power. And sense the V6 is shorter then the V8. The weight will be closer to the firewall, then hanging over the front wheels. The closer you can keep the weight to center, the better it will handle.

Always love that motor, with a little tweaking. You'll have a nice V8 killer.

I guess that I married an unusual girl. My Solstice has DDM Stage III Supercharger, long tube headers, high flow cat and exhaust. Runs real strong, but feels strained when pulling hard. Mentioned to wife one day that it sure would be nice if it had a V8 with it's massive torque, (like her massaged Hemi 300) and she said "well, why don't you put one in there then? DDM will have a LS3/480 and Tremec T56 in there by first week of May! (I guess you will hate me too now, Critterman?)

I say just go for it. Get the V8 now. That way, when you pick me up, all CT will have is a silly 4 banger with or without a SuperCharger. You and I will have a V8! No way we will lose!

I tell you what... If you swap the SC for the V8 prior to picking me up AND we win the "Challenge" I'll buy your dinner with the winnings from CT. Deal?
