The cost question was answered for the Fidanza. That is the normal e-bay price, but list is about $500. Spec prices are on Spec's web site as well as some of the sites of our supporting vendors. Clutch prices on on Spec's site and vendor sites, also.

As for replacing both at the same time - ABSOLUTELY. Clutches and pressure plates should always be "paired" as not doing so is almost a guarantee for trouble. Also, the labor on a Kappa LNF is 9 hours, so doing THAT job twice would be painful, financially AND physically !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most importantly, the bolt pattern. For a stock 2.4 nothing "stronger" may be necessary. It has been "leaned on" or has either type of forced induction systems installed, a Spec light flywheel and 3+ clutch (or equivalent) would be good. Check with our supporting vendors after the holidays.

The Spec was not a choice of one Solstice 2.4 owner on the big forum. Or maybe it was the a sensitive owner.

I'll be going with Execdy clutch for around $300 and Excedy aluminum flywheel for about the same from ebay. I don't need uber holding power but the stock clutch on the 2.4 is having a hard time holding double the stock power.

The 2.4 selection of clutch parts is very good since Cobalt, Ion, and HHR.

The 2.4 does have a lot more choices. Just make absolutely sure that the EXACT flywheel (the p/n) is the correct application for the REAR WHEEL DRIVE 2.4. Sometimes there are differences. Example: the flywheels for the FWD and RWD LNFs are different.

Spec 3+ with spec flywheel here.  I also have the non sac, purchased directly from spec with military discount for 900 dollars (no sponsors) Took me 22 hours from start to finish.  I have never changed a clutch before and will gladly pay 1k $ next time.
