My first reaction was LOVE IT but I see this is with an automatic.  No probs for that.  But have you tried one of this, with cups in it, for a manual?  It looks like that's where my arm goes for shifting, not where you laid it for comfort in the picture.

Actually we originally designed it on a manual car, just happened to have the auto there for pictures. I will shoot some pics in a manual car later on.

That just means it is going to cost a little more to get it covered - right Joe?
Joe told me about $350.00

Joe told me about $350.00

I just checked with the Hot rod shop that does high end interiors next door to us (they did the one in the pic), and for $115 they can do it in leather like in the pic or $100 for synthetic leather with no stitching. Once we get one of the production pieces in I will send one down to Joe also so he can play with it also.

Sigh.....  Read post #40 at the top of the page......

Does no one read all the posts in a thread anymore?  :idk:  For those that don't, I'll modify my picture post.

I read the post. I like the lights. I was just saying as shown it would not work in the Sol

You don't have to be sarcastic. I MERELY MADE AN OBSERVATION. I also like the cross ways placement. It would make it easier for the Passenger.

My caliber was like this:

Nice layout, and similar to what I want to do. Make the part between the cup holders just less than as wide as the cup holder so you can still support a cup insert, fill in the gap to the level of the bottom of the cup holder, and add perimeter lighting like on the Caliber, and you get my project.

For those wanting an ashtray, pop one of these in either cup holder hole.

Yeah but it wouldn't be a quality two color, diamond stitched with a gel insert, black and silver masterpiece like my buddy Joe makes! unfortunately after the last time I don't think even Joe will do a diamond stitched gel insert anymore :(

I'm liking this-altho' as I sat in my Sol this morning, the rear holder would be 'odd' to get to, for me, maybe not as odd as the waterfall is. Going to have to study on this some more, but I like. Perhaps instead of full cover of leather, it would be better suited for a removable pad. I like having more area under the cover for all the extra wiring that's squeezed in there now...
