Well, I did not use a fat neighbor or municipal light pole. But, my aluminum softball bat DID work as shown. One caution - as one wedges the fender lips out, the sheet metal will NOT stretch and thus the flared areas pull the lower areas of the wheel arches which WILL affect the body alignment a bit, especially the hood. That said, if the springs are bars are real firm it is doubtful there will much (if any) tire rub after some minor flaring. Rolling the lips is the secret.
