So how can you be a GM dealer and "not" be an authorized GM service provider?
This is how the statement reads," In the event a Saturn, Hummer, or Pontiac owner does come to your dealership seeking assistance with a problem that requires immediate attention, and is uncertain where to take their vehicle for warranty repairs, please take steps to assist. If you are not an Authorized Service Provider, but are equipped to perform the work under the terms of the warranty, please feel confident to proceed."
The statements was referring to those specific brands (Saturn, Hummer, or Pontiac). "Authorized Service Providers" were required to buy the "essential tools" from the closing dealerships and had to undergo training or hire those that were trained to be able to service those specific vehicles.
