Help,oil pressure gauge not working/code2261 ?
« on: March 24, 2011, 08:26:41 PM »
Today took my car out for the first tim since last Oct. Did alot of work on it. Installed oil pressure gauge that worked initially but was reading 1 to 2 when I shut off engine. No symptoms, did get a DTC code 2261 ??? Car is very fast. I connected the oil pressure gauge by running an split elbow off the turbo oil line where it goes into turbo. The line goes to the sensor and is mounted to the left front of engine. Any ideas! What is a 2261

Thanks Bob, is there a easy way to look up codes. I have the service manual but finding the correct code is sometimes difficult.

Thanks for the code info and trouble shooting from old posts. Now I need help on fixing the new oil pressure gauge,I am not getting a engine oil light when it's reading 2 lbs pressure.  Are there any posts on how other people connected there oil gauge?

Not sure on the LNF but on the LN5 there are 3 plugs into the oil system under the exhaust.  The are spaced across the lenght of the engine.

Thanks Critterman, If the lNF has these oil port I will also add a oil accumolater which will provide better protection of the engine in high G cornering.
