Did you hear that?
« on: April 04, 2011, 03:58:01 PM »
The snow has melted and the heated garage door was opened.  Then came rolling out ME after a long 5 months of sleep!  Sorry I was away, I tend not to read the forums while out.

This was my FIRST year that the battery malfunctioned on me.  That was $130.00 and 1 hour in the auto-zone parking lot that was not expected.  If I had known ahead of time, I would have ordered a lightweight battery.

Oh, and I blew the transmission in the truck this winter.  This will effectively cancel my plans of attending the Austin meet this June.  Maybe I can get an invite to DeepBlue's this year to make up for it.

See you around..

Yeah, the cost of a new 4-wheel drive transmission rebuild will deplete most of my alloted money to attend in Texas.

Since I use it as a plow truck and to haul really heavy loads, I think I would rather have it rebuilt instead of tossing something in there that might last only a few thousand miles.  And I would get a 3yr warranty as well.

Plus gas prices are only getting higher (I had to toss that one in there!)

Nobody really gets an invite to Joe's, we kind of just appear on this doorstep :D

P.S. I did think about it, I was just too lazy to track down the link.
