Did you have trouble posting this? Can you elaborate when you say that the site was crashing?

I was able to post your pictures into a test post without any problems.

I had the image codes put in and everytime i clicked "Post" it would stay on the same page and it would take like 30+ seconds just to see "page error".  So i had to keep on trying and trying until finally 1 pic loaded (for some reason only 1 loaded when i had put 2 pics up).  So then once the single pic was loaded, i kept trying to "modify" the post to put on the second pic.  The site kept going to "page error" again and again until it finally went through.

Deep-GXP, we are sorry that you had trouble posting pictures on the site. I have spoken to the administrators as well as the other moderators of the site and although there is no way to know precisely, the thought is that either the KappPerformance or the Imageshack server was having problems at the moment that you were trying to post. It is also possible that something was amiss with your ISP at that point in time.

I was able to post 6 pictures of various sizes, all larger than you posted, in this post, without any problems. Should you have any difficulties in the future please be sure to contact a moderator or an administrator to report the problem that you are having. You might try to post some additional pictures.

Bob

Hard to tell from the video .. but the links for the pictures seem awful large to me.

Most links from photobucket are not 3 lines deep.  This could have caused a 'time out' from the host server.  Especially since there are several lines.

When you copy your links from photobucket .. do you copy from the URL box on the top of the screen .. or the URL link next to the picture?

email me the text you were trying to post.  The forum is limited to 10 pics per post and that may be what happened.  It's not a site crash so to speak but a post error.    If I can duplicate the error, then I may be able to trouble shoot the error handling code.  kappaperformance at yahoo.com

I copy the text in the box that says "for forums" or whatever.
This is the way i have always done it, on this site and the BB.
I dont think the code is too long, cuz i was still able to post it, i just had to try several times.

Ah HA!  Therein is the problem ... HTML code.  I'm surprised the you've not had problems on the BB too!

There is an img code link at the bottom of every pic on photobucket.  Just copy that and paste it here and on the BB.  It will post your picture.

For example -  http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f108/momssol/damnpenguins.jpg

When I copied it from photobucket the image tags [img ]http://[/img ] were already applied and I only had to paste it here.
(inserted spaces so you could see the img tags and url)

[img ] http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f108/momssol/damnpenguins.jpg [/img ]

now ... remove the spaces and viola!

This is what he was trying to post.  I found that when I copied the posts from the SF, this SMF forum software doesn't like it.
Code: [Select]

Code did produce an error on the site as to the post.  Post code should look like this to post and you can see the results below.

Code: [Select]

I'm still surprised that the BB hasn't  :barf: with that code too!  It much prefers the image tags as well and that is all I've ever used or suggested in the "posting of pictures" instructions there. :idk:
