Best Way to Black Out Front Fog Lights???
« on: May 12, 2011, 01:14:22 PM »
Hey All,
I have a black film on the fog lights now, but it is old and is starting to look bad.  Does anyone have any ideas on how to best black out the front fog lights without risking chipping??

Steve

Did you blacken the ones on your Sky?  If so, then what method did you use?

Arabas: The Sol ones are completely different, my experience might not apply at all.

Spicy here is my review:
http://www.kappaperformance.com/forum/index.php/topic,2681.msg32510.html#msg32510

I don't recommend anybody to open the Sky fog lights without being willing to buy new ones or fabricate new parts.

So far I've had no issues, but chipping is a possibility for anything on the front of the car.
If that happens, I'll just have it redone.  I guess I could put a clear bra over the paint if I was really concerned.

GJ - you are reading to much in to it.  No one said anything about prep work or taping it of.  So how long does it take to grab a can of black spray paint, hit spicy's lights with a couple of blasts and be done?

That's not a problem...thanks Joe...should I pick up the paint before hand or can we get it near you?  What should we use?  VHT Niteshades?
