That Skoda did 12.2s because he raced in Racing category which means he might took out all the interior, used slicks, etc.
I know same car, on previous stage in east where the surface is far better than this last race, he was racing in Street category (full interior, no slicks, no DR) and his best time was like 12.6 or 12.7s so I didn't get scared.

Not sure about the mods but from what I have heard: rebuild engine with GT3071, he might be around 400-450bhp.

My tuner, except the Nissan Sunny which is aiming a 8s is preparing 2 more surprises, from which one is nasty for me:
1) his own Nissan GTR R-35, built to beat that record for a street car 9.80s
2) Honda S2000, a very long and big money project, last stage the car was about 700hp at crank and I know he is working on a new stage now, this one is nasty for me cause will be in same group as me

That 12.2s Skoda seems it will be racing in Racing category in future, so street will be good again, 400hp and a decent launch will be enough to race for podium, if only I would have my turbo

2L not-stroked around 1100hp is something which compares to GM ECOtec drag racing engine (2.2L) or most powerful EVO (strocked at 2.5L) iirc.

The difference?
- GM was doing this 3-5 years ago
- This team is formed from 4-5 people on their own now

Foul Start:

Second fastest car, Nissan Skyline over 1000hp, 9.06s, it was just bad luck not to get in 8s for the first time, he broke his tranny first time which means he had a lot of traction:

Here is the owner of the Skyline, he is from Moldova (still a romanian country which was under Russia after WWII and now is an independent country) and he is a special forces guy (the guy in the racing suite):

On the left: fastest car in 2010 in the left he improved his personal best from 10.4s down to 10.0s this race, he couldn't launch perfectly but he will get into 9s for sure.
On the right: fastest street car 9.9s white GTR tuned in UK

My tuner's GTR, 1024whp, first time at the track for him as a driver but also for the car, he had problems with the gearbox and raced low boost doing 10.1s, I think he will do a mid 9s soon.

New record, fastest BMW doing a low 11s, for sure he will be in 10s

Fastest FWDs, both 2L turbos, first is Skoda with a similar engine with our doing a 11.6s with about 600bhp tuned by APR.
Second is a Seat doing low 12s.

This is the final at my group, 2 x BMW 2.5L I6 turbo, doing mid 12s:

Semi final at my group, no, this is not me, is a different guy who is tuned by EDS, K&N intake, custom exhaust, his best ET was 13.6s (my best on this track was 13.5s), he did 2.1s on 60ft, I succeed a 2.0s:

if yes, what was the outcome?
u say tuned by EDS, u mean the can tune he has or custom tune?
if it was the can, which version of EDS he was using?

I didn't raced him ever, we are just comparing times on same tracks.
I don't think he has a custom tune and I don't know the version.

i take it you don't talk with him a lot....

it would be VERY interesting to know which version of EDS he has and to officially race him sometime (although now with your turbo upgrade this wouldn't show any tune differences)

Arabas: I talk a lot with the guy and try to help him as much as I can cause he is a passionate gearhead and a good guy, but I didn't asked him those details about his tune.
I think is better to compare our best times on same track and same configuration than to race directly, especially now when my car is not working.

Kelu, have any idea when your car will be ready to go? Enjoyed all the video in the presentation one and also noticed two beautiful young ladies topless hanging around enjoying the action. I must say, the cars in the action are being driven very well and it certainly does not hurt to have very beautiful young ladies rooting for them. I wish you all good luck in your Drag Racing!
