Saw a 'Solbra' yesterday.
« on: July 10, 2011, 09:30:44 AM »
Saw a Solbra at a car show in town yesterday.  It has a Cobra front end on a 2008 Solstice GXP.  Also has a Corvette V8 in it.  I talked to the owner a bit, from a nearby town, he said Wade's garage in West Virginia did the conversion.  Do a Google search on 'Solbra' and you will see Wade's garage.  The owner says it feels just like the original GXP did but with 200 more horsepower!  Sorry, no pictures, I had a blond moment and left the camera at home.  I did give him a Kappacard though, so hoping he will find his way here.

Of course it had to sound much better than a GXP

Wade is a cool guy and has a beautiful shop and showroom. Lot's of interesting cars, mostly classic muscle.

I've seen Wade's 427 Solbra and heard it! It sound ridiculously good! It was the car behind the one I was in on a run in ky, and I swear it shook our car at idle! The rumble was insanely good!

ChuckDoc fell in love with Wade's car, wanted to drop the 30k right then and there, probably a good thing he didn't have his car with us at the time.
