Heh!  Good ideas all, but I'm afraid it's a little more mundane.

It's going to be a multi-level controller for my seat heaters.  Never liked the look of the kit switches or the just two levels (too hot and not hot enough) of the basic heaters, so I'm replacing the switches with modified Honda (scrapyard) backlit push button switches.  The controller will register how many times the buttons are pressed and then activate solid state relays in an 3 second on-off cycle to modulate the heat.  In theory I could go to many levels, but  I'm only extending it to 3 levels - Lo/Med/High - with Red/Blue Leds in the switches being turned on - blue/purple/red - to indicate the level chosen. There's also a config function so I can adjust the on/off cycle for Lo and Med levels on each side in the car to adjust how I (or my wife) likes it.  I've already written all the code in assembler (it's been a looooong time since I wrote code) and that was great fun.

May seem like overkill for a microcontroller, but these chips are so low cost, ~$2 for the 44A, and they contain all the driver circuitry, it was actually the cheap way to go!

Bob, I probably will solder in the chip for physical security.  I kept the in-circuit programmer header (the six-pin box at the bottom) so I can load or update the program in situ.

This is the icon I'll use on the switches - note it's a Kappa seat silhouette!

I absolutely loathe coding especially assembly. Great work,
The only solstice in Louisiana it seems like.

That's Left Switch, Left Thermocouple, Right Switch, Right Thermocouple - but I haven't coded for the thermocouples, just an option if the on/off cycle method doesn't work well in practice.

So even though I've not finished my current mod projects (seat controller and rearview camera mount) I've been starting on the early design for my next possible project (again using an Atmel micro as the core):

the center cap of my new wheels was not deep enough to fit on the GT, so i drilled a hole on each one of them, sanded them and painted them flat black.
waiting for them to dry to put them on the wheels

OK, finally finished my replacement LED license plate light bracket and rear-view camera mount, per: http://www.kappaperformance.com/forum/index.php/topic,7532.msg122904.html#msg122904.  Not difficult actually, just been too busy to get to it until now.  I'll post a thread soon, but until then, this is a photo of it finished and camera mounted.  Came out nicely I think - very factory-looking:

Awww I would pick on you Arabas but now that you are engaged I try to be respectful of that in case your other half reads the forum. These days I only mess with people I know can take it or who I know won't get in trouble if I talk trash/flirt with them.
