I always forget how much the DDM backbone does.
When I use the front Jack point, the entire side of the car raises.

If you use the rear jacking point you can get 3 off the ground, both rears and the near side front.

I would just like to say I looked at my Kappa today. That is all. It's been very neglected despite the perfect convertible weather for over a week now.

I have stuff to install...trunk light kit, camera...things to paint. Then again...I haven't found the box with my tools in it yet either.

Please, he was harassing me for the last two days telling me something happened to my car but refusing to say what. Luckily I know him well enough to know nothing happened. I did make $20 off him though

I am taking that trunk light if its not installed by soon. Mirror will be taken as well for pain and suffering

Got the buffer out and buffed it up with some PoorBoys polish and sealant. Started stripping the Duplicolor paint off for the G2 application. Should be here in a couple of days.

Attempted to install DDM backbone last night. Removed the bolts holding the OEM plate on but couldn't remove it due to the exhaust. Directions said the exhaust should/could be dropped but I was attempting to drop it from the rear muffler (and the muffler hangers don't use bolts!). So I had to call Dave at DDM and he explained the exhaust should be dropped from the front. Wished the directions would have said that because I placed the jack stands on the back of the car

I have Norms GXP splitter on the front of the car plus BC coilovers so no way I can jack the car up from the front, so now I'll have to remove the jack stands, reposition the car, and move the jack stands to the front. Really sucks to have such a narrow garage.

Then I have to turn around and jack up the rear again so I can install the Pro-beam

Doesn't help when the

Sounds like you either need to make friends with a mechanic or someone with a lift. Both those installs are a piece of cake if the car is up in the air.

I was able to install mine without dropping the Exhaust. it had enough give to pull down . just went back and forth till I got it in . I have a Magnaflow 3" pipe

M's probably right. I may have been able to remove the stock OEM piece if I could have figured out how to pull on it at the right angle or since it looks thin enough it may have some flex. But I was thinking even if I get it out how am I going to get the street backbone back in? There's no flex in that piece at all. Don't want to use BFH approach.

Plus it seems like a lot of folks re-install stock OEM piece and get close to what they paid for the DDM piece. I'll get it, just need to do what the instructions suggest and be patient.

Just get the front of the car up in the air, and remove the 2 bolts that hold the cat back to the downpipe. If you have the proper tools (jack, jack stands, wrench/socket for the exhaust bolts, and socket for the backbone bolts) it should take no more than 30 minutes to remove a backbone, and put one on.

Hmmm, I installed the backbone by dropping the exhaust at the rear. Maybe I just got lucky.
