Drove my car to breakfast w/ Reed, SPAG, Morfious, sworthit and Willie52. Most of them stayed over yesterday for Reed's non-housewarming non-party. We had fun regardless of whether or not it really was a party.

Noted from above: Jim was drinking and driving..... :poke:

I accidentally posted this in the what did you do thread, but realized I must post items of this sort here:
Detailed the leather seats today.

Also, washed and cleaned the inside of my Soul today too.  My soul is so dirty sometimes.

I did not drive my kappa.  I did drive my soul, but just for a quick blow dry.  Tried a new product for me called "dash away". Not yet sure of the rating.  It does a nice job of cleaning up, but I'm not sure of it's residual effects yet.  I tried it on the tires too, just for kicks.  Will check in a few days to see how it's working out.

Also purchased an engine compression tester.  Auto zone, $29.00.  Very easy to use and seems very durable.  They had a more expensive one, but I didn't see the value in it.
Crap, that isn't supposed to go in this thread is it?   I wonder where I will find to write about that?

At least they found a use for Lorton, I'm suprised they didn't tear it down and plant condos.  Looks like a nice place for lunch, where is it?

I agree, a suprisingly good move by the government. Nicely restored. I am waiting for the museum to open. Lorton was a fairly famous prison.

I worked near there for ten years, and lived only a mile from it.

What's wrong with washing and driving topless?  I didn't was mine because it didn't need it.  But I did drive it topless.  Not in a dress or to an interview.  Bit there was a mistrial.

Ah, a mistrial, good reason to drive it topless indeed!  You should always do that with a mistrial.  Uh, may I ask who was on trial?  The mystery is killing me! :poke:

Detailed and drove my Solstice to workout, then breakfast, then shopping both Saturday and Sunday. Absolutely, a great weekend for driving topless in the DC area.

I drove mine, 2 miles to the metro station, and two miles home. It was VERY hot and humid, and I didn't get a door ding.

Mother nature washed my car.

The Eagle needs a wax job bad!  Today might be the day to go out and acquire a good product.  It's been a while since she has been waxed and washed and I am a bit out of the loop as to what to purchase to do the job?  In the past it has been a hard wax, but with the arthritis problem up and down the spine thinking of an easier option, have always liked Meguiar's products.  What have you used on your Kappa that works good.  I know that paste is supposed to be the choice of preference but harder to apply.  Maybe the spray on Meguiar's in either the Supreme shine or in the Natural shine protectant.

Any advice would be welcome indeed.  I must get the Eagle spiffed up for the meet coming up and thought today would be a good time to do it!  :buff:

Ron,
I have just tried the Mothers spray wax recently and really like the ease with which it goes on and off.  Is it the longest lasting wax on the planet? No, but it does a great job of getting the car ready for the meet and is available at you local store and goes on really easy.  I'm happy with it.

I bought mcguires (sp?) quik wax and like it alot. Seems to have deepened the red and those nasty bugs came off with ease. I find it easy to rub off too (Ihave Rh.Arth myself).
