Currently I have 6 completed readiness codes and 1 non completed readiness code.

The one that will not complete is
Evaporation System

Anyone know what that pertains to?

Recent changes includes a 2871 Turbo, and Solo Hi Flow Cat with a spark plug de-fouler on the O2 bung that is actually on my Magnaflow exhaust.

Car is running strong as hell and does not need to be inspected until next May, so I am really just curious as to what this means.

Take a minute and check the EVAP solenoid on the intake manifold. They are very prone to failure on the LNF engines and really easy to check. To check them all you have to do is pull the black plastic tube off of it by pushing the release. Then with the black plastic tube off, try to blow through the EVAP solenoid. You should not be able to blow ANY air through the solenoid. If you can blow even just a little air through the solenoid, it is bad and replace it.

Daveis is correct! The Monday morning of this years mod meet Bryan and i were getting ready to leave and started the car and got a code (cant remember which any more) but Dave came over and said that it was the solenoid and to replace it when we got home. Had issues on the way home but I stopped at the local HACK Chevy dealer and they read the code and said that the problem was the fuel pump/rail which was covered under warranty but that the solenoid was good which would cost $28.00 to replace. I said let me replace the solenoid and pay the dollars and If it didn't fix the problem that I'd be back. He asked If I was sure and I replied, that the person who diagnosed the problem has more time on Solstice and Sky's than he has on vette's! He took offense but he had a tude anyway so F*** em. It took 2 minutes to replcae the solenoid and everything was back to normal. Cheap, Quick Fix.

I'm not getting a full engine code, just the readiness check not finishing and the car is running great.
Engine should be cool enough now.

Actually we took hers for a test drive. She has Eibach Pro-Kit springs on her car and it's making an ever so subtle clunk when it first starts moving now.

I could not blow any air through the solenoid.
That's good for my car, and hopefully good for my reputation, which at this point, due to this thread, is at an all time low.
I'm terrified as to what comes[cums] next.

Did you stick your finger in the exhaust while blowing the solenoid? Sometimes that helps!

"Readiness Codes" are also known as I/M flags. Each vehicle manufacturer's engine management system (EMS) since 1996 must use them and communicate them to scantools for the purpose of evaluating the vehicle's emission control system. The I/M flags are set to a complete or ready status when the ECM has completed it's diagnosis of the emission system. A completed diagnosis means that all related diagnostic tests have run to completion and either passed or failed. So a vehicle with all I/M flags set to ready may have some DTCs set or none. Both cases are considered diagnosed and ready for an I/M test by a state facility. The vehicle with no DTCs and all I/M flags set to ready and no DTCs will fast pass, any vehicle with a not ready I/M flag or a stored emissions DTC will fast fail.

I/M flags set to ready during normal use of the vehicle. Again they set to ready when the diagnostics are passing or failing. So, if an I/M flag is not ready the emissions systems are not diagnosed. The I/M flags are set to not ready on a code clear or a power loss to the ECM.

The EVAP I/M flag can be one of the difficult ones. I think I commented on one of these before....Use the vehicle for a few days with a few several hour cold soaks between use and fuel level between 20-80% full. The EVAP diagnosis has several tests to run during normal operation and when switched off for several hours - without interruption. Don't press the remote or open a door. So I'm suggesting you mildly drive it to work, let it sit all day and go where you need. Let it sleep when you sleep. Repeat cycle for three days and recheck I/M readiness state. Pls let us know what happens.

That pretty much describes how the car is used on a regular basis.
I drive 3.6 miles to work. The car sits for 8 hrs, then I drive home 3.6 miles and it sits until the next morning.
It's been a couple of weeks since I cleared the engine codes.
I had the bypass valve stuck code which was caused by the anti stall on my BOV.

So this is why in curious as to why it's not completing

Oh My! The car is likely begging for a longer ride. Try a few "long" trips between "sleeps" something like tens miles should give the EMS a fair chance to secure the diagnostics. Enjoy the .edu for your EMS and the ride will likely slide thru an I/M annual exam with Fast Pass.

Even I know the evap complete code takes a longer drive and as scanner said not on a full or an empty tank. Take a casual cruise this weekend.
