Still not sure why only one side. There really must be a reason, but other than augmenting a crush zone, I can't imagine what or why.

It IS in the link I posted above. BTW, this is the single best parts reference I have found so far for our cars.

That's the part, but I don't think mine had the angle iron coming off the front end.

Just noticed #23. Starting to suspect that there really WAS a problem in that area, as that is a "REINFORCEMENT. Frame Front Side and Engine Compartment" and it appears it may only go in the left frame rail.

When they do offset testing isn't is always on the drivers side?  Could be part to help the crash rating for the tests?  If so,I guess they don't think an offset to the other side is possible...
