Let's see what happens this weekend, same venue, not sure if they make changes to the track, but I thought the tires for this one are going to be different from Parelli.

I don't think this track has options that they can make to change the track up.  I think they should have the drivers run the same course but in the opposite direction.  No need for quali they can just use the same grid just turn the cars 180, give the Haas and Williams guys a chance to lead (for about 10 feet.)

Sundays race was... well I don't know what to say.  Seeing Bottas spin the car in the pit during practice was interesting.  Hearing that Mazepin was getting a spinoff show from F1 was a bit clever.

He was also given a spinning top by Gunther.

So you are saying a reverse grid run in the oposite direction?

They are changing the tire compound.  Don't know if it is up (harder) or down (softer).  I am guessing softer.

Yep reverse grid opposite direction.  And make the white line the edge of the track, touch the line and your out.  If they are the best drivers in the world it shouldn't be a problem.

I think the stewards need to let people race
When you attempt to pass on the outside of a sharp turn that is also sloping down hill,  The inside car is going to push you into the gravel.
That's not the fault of the inside guy, it's a chance the outside guy takes in the hope of making the move before that happens.
Those 5 second penalties were stupid.

Perez goofed and managed to have it not destroy his race, and LeClerc goofed trying to do the same thing to Perez.

I think the accident between Vettel and Raikonen surprised both of them.  I am not sure either was at fault, and it did not affect them or anyone else, and fortunately no one got hurt.

RB is on a tear right now and MB, and Hamilton are in WTF mode.   It's actually got everything to do with the floor of the MB, which also affects the Austin Martin's.

Anyway, I am seriously liking the standings.
Lando is starting to show just how good of a driver he is.   Dude is funny as shit as well.   Look at all those orange shirts. Are they here for me.

When MB told Bottas not to race Ham I was like WTF?  Then when they told Bottas he could race him I was like holy sh!t what just happened?

Way too many stupid penalties but at least they were consistent .  And then there was Tsunoda getting hit twice for the pit line violation.

Would have liked to see Russell finish in the points.

You forgot the most importand message,  where Ham was to to give up the position in turn xx.   Never did here the results of the investigation of the 10 or so drivers under investigation for not slowing down after the Vettle/Richonan incident at the end of the race.

Do the teams get any points or should I say any compensation for qualifying on the top 10?.
The reason for my question is because Aston Martin should have tried the yellow tires instead of using the the red ones, which everyone knew they are good for about 10 to 12 laps.
What is the point in getting into the top 10, if your tire strategy is going to cost you placement on the race.

So far as I am aware points are only if you finish in the top ten on race day.  Even the fastest lap point only counts if the driver is in the top ten.

Qualifying helps set you up for race day, but does not count in the standings, only bragging rights

Practice 1,2,3 combo is done.  This afternoon is qualifying for the sprint races.  Tomorrow are the sprint races which will decide starting positions for the race.

This is an experiment, one of 4 planed.  Stay tuned!

That may explain why my Beta max had two practice 2 and no practice 3 set to record.  Sounds like I need to make sure it records the sprint race.

I am extremely disappointed with RED BULL, you picked Perez and then you screw the strategy that it was obvious, when starting with the white tires.
Lcrec and Hamilton went all the way to lap 32 or 33 with the yellow tires, Perez was 12 or 13 around lap 19 or 20 and you bringing him in to change tires, when the strategy was to let him be there until lap 35 or higher. If there is one thing this guy does well is management of tires. You then bring him in twice to change tires, really!!. I understand the disappointment of having the star player out, but at the same time show some respect to Perez and the fans, because you certainly screw this one up royalty.
Also is kind of interesting Ferrari wins Italy and Mercedes in England, well you know the results.

They brought Perez in for soft tires to keep Hamilton from getting an extra point for fastest lap.  Since he was out of the top ten he wouldn't get the point but neither would Ham.  It was pure spite.

Sure to try to remedy their stupid mistake, since if you start with white tires, it means your strategy is to go deep into the race and then that soft tire could have been use to get him into the top 3, period.
Red Bull as a team, needs to think just like MB, and not get rattle because Vers has been DNF.
Otherwise MB is going to walk all over you, every time something happens to Vers.

So what do you think, was the Ham Ver incident a racing incident or did Ham deserve the penalty?

I'm not a Ham fan so I don't really care that he got the penalty but I think I would have called it a racing incident and left it go.
