Well that may be.  But I think if I paid that much to watch 4 laps behind a safety car I would feel cheated and not too likely to waste my money again on another race.

He wasn't the only one to speak out against what happened,  The FIA is taking another look at the regulations and I wouldn't be surprised if something is changed in the future.  As for the marshals and stewards having to take a day off if they delayed the race,  i am sure they would have enought volunteers and their bosses would understand.   F1 in most of the world were it takes place is the holy grail of sport.

Well practice and qualifying were interesting.  I don't think I have ever seen so many red flags.  The race hopefully won't have any.

I do not see how you will not with all those red flags on all the events. Also the scramble from start to the 1st turn could be a big pile of race cars bumping into each other. It maybe a good thing for Perez to be in the back specially if he starts with yellow tires, the same for those in the back like Aston Martin, McLaren, etc.

Yea, i was shocked.  Only contact was between Perez and Norris.
Perez drove a great race and Verstappen was perfect.   Crushed the start,  made the gap over 1 second before the second lap.

I ended up liking this track and there was more passing than I thought possible.

I was very surprise there were no RED flags and that minor yellow with Vettell, over all it was a good race.

Much better than the last race.

I wanted Bottas to take fastest lap on the last lap to stick it to Ham, and Merc.

The minute they hit the 5th lap, it was better than the last race

Bottas is confirmed for Alfa Romeo next season.  Here's to hoping they can give him a car that is better than the second half of the field

For 2022 the idea is to have pretty much all the race cars to be about the same level of performance and is up to the driver to get the most out of it.

It is the weird weekend, paractive 1 and qualifying was today.  Tomorrow is practice and Sprint race or just the sprint race.  Sunday is the race.

They are trying to boost viewers on Friday and Saturday by making something important happen on both days.  Thus quali is Friday and the sprint is Saturday.  The problem is P2 seems pointless since I don't think they can't tune the car after Quali.   P1 then becomes overly important and if a team has a problem they are hossed for the weekend.

I would rather they leave P1 thru 3 alone, Q1 like normal to set the order and then replace Q2-3 with the sprint.

I think there is one more of this kind of sprint thing maybe in Mexico.

Im not a fan of the sprint.
Race day is on Sunday.   I just don't see the need to have a small race followed by the real race.

Well in this case Vers went ahead by 5 points over Ham and Bottas by his performance let MB know, look what you now have as a competitor, specially with the 2022 cars been pretty close to each other because of the FIA new regulations for the 2022 season.
