Anyone know the weight of the stock 08 GXP wheel?

Thanks gents. My GXP has the 5 spoke chrome wheels.......@ 24.6 pounds each. I think some new wheels are in my future:

stock sky wheel weighed in at a hefty 26lbs in chrome for me. stock tires are heavy too, about 27lbs each. go with a Conti DWS tire, it's about 4lbs lighter!

Anyone have comments, good or bad, concerning Enkei Racing PF01 wheels?

Also, can someone comment on proper wheel balancing; placement of wheel weights.

Hey, I didn't know they made PF01s in our bolt pattern, that's great! The et40 should be about perfect for me as well (like a knock-off of my favorite wheels, Work Emotion CR KAI) -- keep in mind that wheel would sit 15mm further out than the stock.

Enkei is a decent brand for cast wheels and 18.6 lbs is fantastic but sacrifices strength (watch out for large pot holes) since they are not forged.

I've also been looking at TeamDynamics since they can build for any PCD with multiple offsets: http://www.teamdynamicsracing.com/pro-race/Pro-race12.htm

Outside of this realm, you'd be spending 2-4k for a set of forged wheels in our bolt pattern and an aggressive offset. Say at CCW http://www.ccwheel.com/wheelprofiles-display.php?id=Classic

Man, this really got me thinking about splurging on wheels again.

I'd love some super-concave Forgestar F14s and it looks like if you can get 15+ people, the price drops down to around a grand for 18" barrels:

Kelu has Team Dynamics.

My Wife has them on her mini. They are much easier to clean than my OZs. but are close to 2lbs heavier.

elff: is right, the weight of Team Dynamics for 18x8 are 19.8 lbs which same as Oz Ultraleggera but way cheaper around here, I would recommend them if would be the case.

Around here, owners of TD say that they are much stronger than Oz and they are right, Romanian roads are deadly for rims in general because we had very bad roads, I know another 2 TD owners (Opel and Mini) and had 0 issues in about 3-4 years with them which I can't say about Oz.

TD around here costs around $1000-1300 compared with $1500-2000 for Oz.

I think the added strength is due to the design of the spokes. They are thicker and spread out evenly across the entire circumference.
The OZs are multiple pairs.

I am still considering getting some 18x9s with 265s all the way around.

Love your fitment, Kelu. 18x8s? What's your offset? I also agree about the spokes... I'm still kinda worried about our roads with my SSR Cs. They're not bad but are known to yield to some pressure.

Have we revisted those offset threads now that more affordable custom wheels are available for our PCD? It was cute in all the old wheel threads when all that was available were horrible knock-offs with stock offset. Widest 18s with a more aggressive fit

The spokes play a good role in strength but the potholes from roads around here are destroying mostly the tire lip on a rim.

My rims are 45 offset on 18x8, I remember I could order what I prefer 45-48 offset, the rims being produced based on order but it took about 2 months delivery to my door from UK.
