oh ok!  so it's not that PITA then!  I thought you use your 6pt harness on a daily basis.  :)

by the way, you mentioned about that push-button harnesses for quicker removal
I was looking at STATUS.  I think their's are not push button, but a cam lock design. They say it allows quick disconnect.  Hopefully, its as easy as those push button harnesses you're talking about.

The stock belt with the seat is not a problem at all. Works just like the normal belts. At least the way I have it setup, using the stock mounting rails.

The reason to use the push button release was not for ease of use, the cam lock systems are just as easy, I just heard that the pushbutton methods may be street legal.

But let me please re-iterate this. I do NOT recommend harnesses while driving on the street. It's such a pain in the ass. You won't even be able to close your door if you are strapped in because you can't reach it. You also may not be able to reach the stereo depending how long your arms are. You definitely cannot reach the glovebox. Or if you put something on the passenger seat.

Yeah, I was planning to do what you did.  I'll have both the stock seat belt while driving on the street (for ease of use, and "street legality").........and harnesses at the track! :)

If you have aftermarket seats you don't need to bother with harnesses. I may take mine out and sell them. The seats do all the work.

I remember you saying you are using the stock seats, I remember you having Status race seats... are you no longer using them?

Ok so what I'm saying is you don't need the harnesses. The seats do all the work of keeping you from sliding around.

problem with the stock seat-belt is everytime I use it....it makes my red seat dirty......plus it kinda wears/scratches the soft material of my seats :(

Oh that sucks, might be a reason to try something different. I just think daily driving with harnesses is a huge PITA.

Maybe a protective piece sewn in to where it wears.

In my jeep I have a similar setup to Kenny
4 point harness for off roading
Stock belt for street driving.

If you are using the harness properly you are locked in place

When on the road course, all I needed was something to keep me from sliding side to side. The seat alone solves that that, which is why I don't think the harnesses are necessary.

I could seeing going up and down rocks being a lot different :)

not really the dirt im concerned with.   It's slowly destroying the cloth material (alcantara) of my seat.

Safety, is always a priority, that's why I'm using my seat belt ;)
