I was doing some more reading on Royal Purple and I came across something saying they found Molybdenum in RP oil. The Molybdenum would explain the reason why the oil has good anti wear properties as well as the Trademark Synerlec being able to adhere to the engine parts. With that being said I also had heard that solids used to increase anti wear properties could clog passage ways over time so I decided to email RP and this was there response.

Subject: Automotive Question
I'm looking for a great Syn oil for my OEM application in a 5W30 weight.
There are some requirements that I need met though.
First and foremost it CANNOT CONTAIN MOLYBDENIUM OR TEFLON IN ANY FORM PERIOD!
[DC] We do not contain any solids such as molybdenum disulfide, molybdenum solids, Teflon, graphite, etc.
Our motor oils will contain a synthesized liquid moly in about 100 ppm that is part of an oxidation inhibitor package - but it does not have any solids.
It has to be compatible with all oils Syn or Conventional that I might have used.
[DC] Not a problem - our motor oils contain man-made hydrocarbons that mimic the refined hydrocarbons of conventional oils or other automotive synthetics - such as the Mobil 1 that you mention next. It's a used car but only used Mobil1 Syn.
Has to be Turbo approved.
[DC] All of products can handle the higher temperatures of a turbocharger. we have been used in turbocharged engines since the late 80's. Pontiac is not the first vehicle to have a turbocharger......
Has to be GM approved for use in a Turbo Pontiac Solstice GXP.
[DC] We have chosen to stay with the API SL Service Classification in our RP 5W30 Motor Oil. The API SL has 25-30% more antiwear additives than the GM recommended API SM oil. We technically do not meet the Solstice warranty requirement that GM has imposed - realize the API SM was designed to prolong the theoretical life of the exhaust system components (catalytic converter) at the expense of reducing the wear protection of the engine and turbocharger.
Can be used with GM DIC system where it monitors oil via an algorithm which tells the owner when to change the oil which may be as soon as 2K or as long as 10K.
[DC] The GM OLM system is measuring how 'you' drive - not the physical condition of the oil.
It looks at air inlet temp, coolant temp, oil temp, throttle position (time at idle, time under heavy acceleration, time at steady state highway cruising), time of key on to key off(short interval driving), and so on.
Can be extended to up to 10K oil change with a filter change at 5K.
[DC] Yes, we would recommend up to once per year or 12,000 miles
Got anything that will fit the bill?
[DC]
RP SAE 5W30 Motor Oil, part #01530.
See our corporate warranty for the statement on the API SM / GF-4 ratings.
Thanks

Subject: Re: RE:06 or newer Soltice
Thanks for your quick reply.
One more ? I have.
If the Synthesized liquid Moly is used as part of a oxidation inhibitor package does it still help in the area of engine wear where it possibly would coat internal parts of the engine helping in less wear on cold starts and since it's not in solid form it's shouldn't build up correct?
Thanks a bunch.
Yes, This component is synergistic and does not leave any buildup on parts.
I have over 400,000 miles of experience with this component in my turbocharged diesels since coming to work at RP 17 years ago.
The RP Motor Oils contain our Synerlec additive package which imparts a higher oil film strength giving 4 times the squeeze pressure of a normal oil film.
This helps to stop wear on your engine.
We have been used in Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, Zonda's Corvettes, Porsche's in race winning vehicles around the world.
Cheers,
