SpeedRacer has only the GMPP and drag radials with an automatic and he's consistently doing 12.89 in the 1/4 at MIR.  This year he wants a TCM tune and an aftermarket tune for the car.   He could get into the 11s.   I went from 14.00 to 13.2 with just a tune with a manual and street tires.  My slip/photo is posted on Dragtimes.com

G.J. how do your know? Are you by inference stating that you did in fact drop a banana off the top of the empire state building
and therefor break a law, and if so face a penalty or time in jail!  Can you imagine in your wildest dreams what a speeding banana torpedo would do to someone standing in it's way at the bottom.  Hec, if there were witnesses you could be arrested for long distance battery!  :usa: :kwh:

12.89 in the 1/4 is amazing and of course being an automatic it would be hard to beat with a manual, I would believe the automatic would shift faster than a manual.

Terminal velocity of a banana is somewhere around 100 MPH depending on the day and the banana.

Speed ....that's what we talk here!

Now if someone could determine the speed of snail carrying two ants as passengers while racing on a 1/4 inch track in Alaska.

Surprisingly, the maximum terminal velocity of the average snail is the same regardless of whether there are two, one, or no ants aboard.  What season is it in Alaska in this hypothetical question.  If it is below freezing, the terminal velocity is -0-

If it is winter and the snail is using his shell as a sled, we might have to run some different calculations.

Ah, that's a beginning elff and MomsSol !  Someone please carry on, Carol and I have toured the great State of Alaska and yes speed is necessary on tracks to be sure and and agile and quick our what we characterize our Kappa's as but I would sure like to witness the speed of a snail carrying two ants as passengers while racing on a 1/4 inch track in Alaska!  Somehow I don't believe that your hypothesis will ever be tested!  Someone with more knowledge on the topic please indeed step forward with comments...

The snail will freeze in place because the ants aren't very walk warm and it is hard to get a coat in under the shell.

now it almost makes sense.

Elff no worries the banana is in New York (Empire state building) and the snail is in Alaska, so unless the banana can fall horizontally about 4,000 miles it ain't happening.

Do frozen snails still leave a trail?
