once you hit 5 from the softest, it starts getting a lot tighter, but 0, IMHO is about equal to stock and 5 is close to where the ZOK springs were.

I currently have mine at 5 front 7 rear.  I like it and it is far from bone/kidney jarring.

Elff,

The springs you tried and found they were for the NA, we're those the kappaspheres?

I talked to Ihawk last night about the ride. We both agree that her early 06 is not always the best judge of the kappa world, and her car has always had a "rough ride" compared to newer kappas

As I said before, I need to ride in elff's 08 so I can honestly compare what they would be like in my car. Hopefully elff will oblige and take me for a drive sometime.

We would need to put them on softer settings, you would not like the settings I currently have.
We can definitely do that at the mod meet.

Tonight I experienced what you are talking about.  They are repaving a main road where I live and of course have no signs warning of the road surface height changes
So am doing about 50mph when I hit asphalt that is about 2" taller than the part of the road I was on.
The car definitely bounced up and it was quite un-nerving.
Fortunately that is not something I would run into in a normal circumstance.

It is quite an odd experience for sure.

I have a few bridges on my commute where the bridge approach (approx 5' before the bridge) is about 3-4" lower than the normal road surface. After the approach, the bridge itself is back at the normal road height. Unfortunately those are not areas that are under construction, but that is just how the road is.

The brief drop then return to road height causes the car to come down then spring back up quickly... this causes me to rise from the seat. They do this in ohio to keep cracks from forming, so I hope with the rise in temps that are coming the bridges will expand a bit and take some of the jump out of it.

However I still love the way it turned with the B&G's... so I am 100% on the fence for putting coilovers on my car. I plan to drive with the stock FE3 suspension and see how I like it. If I drive the car less to work, I will probably go with B&G's, however if i keep driving it every day, the stock suspension will probably make more sense.

You could always get Custom Springs on BC Coilovers.

The few people I have talked to that run cars on the strip keep between 2kg-3kg springs for their cars. when racing. Stock is 2 up front and 3 in the rear, so its definitely worth trying out on the stock suspension to see what I really want.

Plus I have a feeling when I get the car hooking decently on slicks, I will be going to fast to race at the track anymore without a cage.

On top of that, my car has not been touched yet, so I am really putting the car before the horse here

For Drag Raciing, The KWs are probably your best option.
That would allow you to soften up the rear and stiffen the front and they are already stiffer in the front.

Car before the horse
I like that!!!

miller, I've got a set of the B&Gs stored at an undisclosed location (just in case anyone is thinking of trying to find that last uninstalled set) which will be installed on my 07 GXP by DDM at the National Meet in June.

So if you are coming to Nationals you can check them out on my car.  Or at the mod meet in September.    I don't AutoX or race, I just enjoy spirited on the country roads in my area, so I will probably have mine at a softer setting than elff's (not sure yet as they aren't installed).  Of course my car does not have all the mods that elff's does, but it would give you another chance to compare.

Thanks Dengel. I will have to take a ride in September. I doubt I will be making it to nationals.

I doubt its the settings as much as the roads around here. they just are not favorable for stiff sports cars. That is probably why everyone drives a comfy car or giant SUV in Ohio.

I think I'm gonna play around with the Sol today. Not quite sure if it's where I had it before, but I can check it tonight.

Just remember to put it to full hard before dialing it in.
That is supposed to zero it out so it will accept the new setting.

I put mine back to 13 Clicks front, 13 Clicks rear
That's 5 from the softest front and rear.

I did experience that bounce thing and want to see hit that same area of road with the rear a little softer and see what happens.
But
It's been raining so the Sky is in the garage until saturday

Good info to know! I'll click it to full hard after work and start playing. Might not do more than just drive home, but it's better than nothing! I'm still not feeling well. Gonna be too nice out later not to drive though!

I drove the Sol today for the first time in a few weeks, but didn't get a chance to play with the settings.  Should still be nice enough to mess with it in the morning.  I want to play with it before I try to run it on Saturday if I can.
