If they are in Virginia, You are not allowed to flash to pass.
I have the Ticket to Prove it, even though they wrote it up as Failing to turn off High Beams.
which would also apply to the Girl flashing the goods if it was a chilly evening

Everyone, I have great news. We've performed an installation of our HP Intercooler on our very own RedMist, my wife Aubrey's 2007 Sky RL. Drum roll please...

For those who would like to use our intercooler in SCCA competition, it can be installed with ZERO modification to the rear black plastic shroud!

That's right, as was pointed out by an imaginative customer, the shroud actually will go back in without modification, as the amount of material we'd been suggesting installers remove is very slight. We have now verified this in our development shop. I will revise our instruction package to reflect this ironclad SCCA-legal installation style.

We're going to run RedMist in this configuration, as I am considering some SOLO competition for this car in the future. Naturally, I will seek input on my setup from you helpful SCCA racers here.

A big Thank You to everyone for your input on this subject!

@ GJ - because the installation instructions were to make mods to fit the IC. That has been resolved.
@ SA - over the Winter. Just bought a round of rubber and a SmartString rig. Budget is busted.

Still waiting to see what happens with HPFP experiment results by others.

Going for free mods (assuming I survive 107-108 weather Sunday at a local event). Slower is quicker, so earlier brake points. Slow IN and fast OUT is better than fast IN and slow OUT.

Bob, that's the best price for a HUGE and quality built IC. Very strong.

I was very satisfied and happy with that Hahn IC...when I had one on my car.

I highly recommend it especially now that Bill was able to figure out how to avoid shaving the plastic shroud...it will be beneficial for you...since it is now "SCCA lega"

anyways, about the hpfp, I really DOUBT that the hpfp experiment will positively materialize for us. I will not bet my life on it. I worked with a couple of vendors for years now to make this happen. After several attempts, nothing was accomplished.
But I still hope that there will be good news later on..............it will benefit ALL OF US!

If you do purchase one, Would you mind taking pictures and posting a DIY thread.
I bet alot of people would love to see that.

If anyone needs instructions on how to quickly remove an Intercooler you have a limited time period to get first hand training.

First, get into the City of Philadelphia.
Make your way down to Chestnut street.
Get onto chestnut street at the intersection of 10th.
Stay in the left lane and drive until 7th street.

The faster you go, the quicker the intercooler will be removed.

Hey bill also as I just installed ur intercooler on my sky. I came over from the DSM side and had a Hahn as well. But while ur talking about revising. I had issues with reusing the stock bracket front bracket and ended up making my own as I did not like how they contacted the I/C so from a consumer side I would suggest making custom brackets with your kit.

If you put the car in reverse and drive that road will it reinstall the IC?
