Here's my "How to" http://kappaperformance.com/forum/index.php?topic=1344.0  It my help you with  some of your questions. You can order it for GM. I paid $550, but retails for $650 for the kit, installed the myself. Another $83 to install the tune.

The sensors can be installed by anyone with basic wiring knowledge, but the car needs to be updated with the new flash, and dealers are charging VASTLY different fees for this procedure.

As for the E-bay price... it seems he's sold a number of these on E-bay (as judged from his feedback)   I am sure he will have another one soon.

Read thread,  http://kappaperformance.com/forum/index.php?topic=19.0  It gives you more power lower in the RPM range. Raises your peak boost between 20 to 23. Depending on other mods, like waste gate, after market IC & CIA you have. The peak boost when my car had stock tune & sensors was 19psi & it's 23psi now after the GMPP kit.

The major component of the cost is the kit.  From Crate, I think I paid 550.  But that was a while back.  Every dealer seems to charge what they want.  I had mine done for 150 so total cost was 700.  You must go to a dealer to get the upgraded tune and you should only go to a dealer that can either follow the enclosed instructions or has done it before.  This seems like a slim chance of running into a dealer that can not follow the instructions but it turns out it is more the rule than the exception.

If you are close to warranty expiration, I would go with the Westers tune.  My car was faster with the latest Westers, than with the GM tune and upgraded sensors.  But with the new test tune of the GM tune (Westers) my car is ridiculously fast.  I can not give you times because both Deepblue and I tried driving it but it was impossible to keep the tires from spinning.  Only way we can get numbers is to eventually dyno it.  Unfortunately time is in short supply for the next couple of weeks.

My car is not only my mountain car (love them curves!) but my daily driver.  For folks with manual trannys who have done this, how's the slow driving through the burbs?  Gotta do more of that than I would like and currently the GXP is very drivable.

Mine is also a daily driver (when I'm not on my bicycle), and on the whole, no problem. The two days I spent in Houston during morning rush gave me pause, though. My left calf and shin were sore, for sure. Now, if I drove it every day there, I'm sure I'd acclimate. :)
I'd rather be driving! :D

Thanks!  Your left leg sounds like clutching.  With the performance kit, was acceleration still manageable in town or was it jumpy?

I had the GMPP inatalled last week, 500.00 for the kit, 160.00 to install. It took them 3 hours as this was the first they had done but he only charged 2 hours. No Problems. Pulled 4.7 0-60 after I put 200 miles on it. Pulling 19/20 PSI Boost. I think that will get better. Am getting the Westers tune next week I hope, if my HP tuner gets here. I have an 08 GXP Automatic.

Gotta keep up with the Chuckdocs of this world.(If I can go that low)

I ordered my kit from Pace Pontiac, $550. When I got the kit, I was not happy with the long white leads that came with it so I ordered mating connectors and pins from Bosch. I did the installation myself and drove the car to a Pontiac dealer to be flashed. He charged $100. I have to complement GM Performance. This is the most rewarding $650. I have ever spent on a car. My solstice is a 2008 GXP stick shift. The low end torque makes the four cylinders much more enjoyable to drive, and the 21 pounds of boost makes you feel like you can pass anything on the road, from 80 to 110 in a heartbeat.
I was wondering if any has installed a water/meth injection kit  after installing the turbo upgrade?

Ask sky888...I know he has a water/meth kit installed...but I think he has a huge turbo in there also.
