Actually, a friend of mine has just bought a Sky Redline ('09 with 1100 miles on it!). He's in process of building a big detached garage, with a lift - should be complete during the summer. He's a car guy, used to rebuild and sell VW's as a supplemental source of income in his younger days.

Anyway, I'm working on him to volunteer to host an MM. He has a good amount of parking space AND a pool to keep GJ happy. Plus, my house is a couple of miles away and can provide some extra sleeping floor-space. It's his wife that would be the issue (she has no idea of this, and would have no idea what to expect even if she knew!)

I'll keep working on him, maybe a bare 50-50 chance right now.

Actually I think someone who is currently in country on a house hunting mission before returning to Russia was talking about doing this year. However I second GJ as the host for 2014. It has been a while since I was in San Diego.

I found a couple of places on-line that would have fit the bill for mod meets, but alas the place I closed on 2 weeks ago won't do

She's right Kelu, Elff's car was getting the turbo at your first meet but Elff didn't stay long after the turbo was installed which might be why you don't remember it. He did however get a ticket, ask Monica to send you the picture of the cop car that she took.
